Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17th - 22nd April 2015]

So? It's bordering on meaningless. A team can choose to try and dominate possession through to choosing to give it up, and everything in between.

Teams would let Moyes era Manyoo have a load of possession as the build up play was so slow and easy to defend against it was fairly sensible.

The point was I'm surprise Chelsea, who blew teams away for fun this season, with the midfielders that they have, playing at home, play like they are away.

Chelsea knew exactly what they were doing

Yes, I know he knows what he's doing and it worked, but I'm still surprise at the tactic when playing at home, with that squad.

I understand if it's Barcelona, but it's a Manchester United side with 4 key injuries.

Mourinho basically said that he didn't care how little possession they had, and he meant it. You must have watched Chelsea before

United have been on fire recently, putting away chances. When Ashley Young is 'in form', you know United are dangerous...

It's a Manchester United side that put away the champions with ease last week.

And it's still no Barcelona with 4 key injuries and Chelsea isn't exactly in bad form with a weak midfield.

In his own words, playing football from the 1900's.

I'm still not seeing your point- they should only play like that against Barcelona?

It was a good display of dealing with pressure and holding fort. Talk about a spine of a team, Courtois, Terry, Cahill, Matic, Zouma/Ramires/Mikel. United had 2 shots on target. It's just a classic Mourinho performance. Yes they could have kept the ball better, but no surprises really.
