Tbh im glad Carroll just raged at Olsen guy is a knob, Dont think we will become forest or Leeds but allot of fans have to accept we are not top 4 quality anymore

Arsenal draw with Sunderland...again starting the season off slowly :/

Starting to wonder now who is going to score our goals this season...with RVP gone, its going to be a long season i fear.

Just nothing from Arsenal, again dominating most of the game but not finding the killer touch.

Looks like a draw is on the cards for us...its worrying that we havent been able to score a goal so far in this match...really worrying :/

It's not that worrying, both of our new strikers only played one pre-season match, it's their first game in a new league with new opponents, they need time.

Meh, pretty tough to chase a game when you're a man and 2-0 down. We looked OK in the first half and could have been a goal or two up. Can't judge Rodgers/this season based on this

Partly true , first half was just last season repeated, look the better side but get nothing for our efforts because we have no prolific striker on our books whilst the other top teams usually have 2+. If our owners want us to progress they need to open the check book and (hope) we find a 2007/08 Torres.
Our midfield might have been crap last year but we made tons of chances and never put em away. Our MF looks better this year yes, but well never progress if we can't hit a cows arse from point blank range let alone further out.

Furthermore , there's no excuse to lose to WBA - first game, last game, new manager, old manager .. Ugh, when will we stop making the bottom teams look good :/

Cazorla is going to carry Arsenal this season, unless they sign some more players.

They have to get another player or two.

There is always one at Arsenal. Feel sorry for the fans as the club could compete if they took a financial risk, they certainly have the right cash flow to finance a splurge,

So mean but atm were not were 18th arent we? :( If we get nothing vs City/UTD/Arsenal we will be in for a long poor season again i suspect

Seriously though...it's only the first game. If you are going to have a poor part to the season it is better to have it at the beginning than imploding half way through.

Pretty poor showing though.

I dont know, i just hope they both find their scoring boots soon as the EPL is much more stronger than their respective leagues that they came from.

Meh at least we didnt lose like we have done in the past so at least thats good lol.

It would be more worrying if we created nothing and got punked at the other end considering half the team either haven't played together in ages or haven't played together full stop.

Disappointing not to score, but with a fairly new lineup (which isn't the ideal starting XI) which got chopped and changed as the game went on we still created plenty against a team who looked to play horribly negatively and then tried and get us on the counter. Bar their chance in the first 5mins we snuffed out any threat they offered in a refreshingly stress-free manner.

It's not ideal but we'll need a few games to start getting the kind of cohesion our style of football demands. The goals will come I'm sure. At least we didn't do a Liverpool?

I was a bit disappointed by RVP it was like he wasnt on the pitch tonight...

....oh yeah...

Well hopefully this will give Wenger the motivation to go out and spent that £40m in his pocket. Plus the god knows how much we had from last years sales.

I don't doubt Podolski's talent at all, his record for Germany is sublime, Giroud is a bit more of an unknown but he performed amazingly last season, pretty much single handedly took Montpellier into the Champions League, I'm confident we won't have much of a problem scoring this season, the new guys just need time to bed in. It's the first game of the season, at least we didn't get smashed like lollerpool.

Well hope this does happen but can't see it to be honest.

Another season where finishing in the top 4 and having a healthy balance in the bank is considered a success by the Arsenal board.

Thats what i mean at least we got away with a draw, i was just hoping for a nice goal spazzfest today, we had enough chances but again as per usual we lacked the killer touch...

Lets hope this team does gel because we could be very dangerous if Pod and Giroud start scoring freely.

Very impressed with Santi, he looks immense...good signing from Wenger.
