Don't know why, but I love beating Tottenham.

Just as mouthy as those mackems :)

Today has been like a re run of last season, Liverpool failing, AvB failing, Swansea winning, Villa losing etc oh and Newcastle surprising lol

We shouldn't be a shock this season, nice to see Ba get a goal too. Not sure where we stand on transfers but with the Europa league this season we might struggle rotating. I'd much rather sack the europa league off if we can challenge for top4 again, who knows. 1 game in :)

I watched the Spurs game, I can't really see where they went wrong - Newcastle just looked superb in the back and they were undone by a bit of Ba-illiance (Brilliance)

Yeah, Spurs weren't bad but lost to a great finish from Ba and individual brilliance from Ben Arfa - not the end of the world to lose to Newcastle that way.

Bale over did most of what he tried, and somehow as a "striker" he can't do anything but hit the bar. Just really not enough goal threat, the movement in and around the box in tight area's just wasn't there. Bale is fast and powerful but doesn't almost ever do what Arfa did all game which is carve up people in a tight space. Bale can beat anyone to the goal line and pretty easily, but he can't go through 4 people and run into a shooting position, and his crossing is vastly over rated, its usually way ahead of everyone, or way over hit. Ultimately he gets to the corner flag easily because this is where defenders WANT you to go rather than into the box, he seems to think its utmost brilliance beating everyone into the corner, then doing nothing with it. Almost all defences are designed to push people away from the box, its not rocket science.

Arfa created space and time for his team all game long, though the front three weren't clicking great today, Tiote took a bit of a knock and that seemed to cause them to push Cabaye behind him to risk less big tackles and protect Tiote a little so there creative passer to feed those three was too deep but the quality those three have one chance and its over.

That's Newcastles biggest tool, the fact that they were actually dominated in quite a few games that they still won because 1-2 chances is all they are taking while other teams will create 15 chances and not score. Ba/Cisse are ridiculously clinical, stats wise goals to shots Cisse absolute blew everyone away last year, by a freaking ridiculous amount.

Bale isn't creative enough, he's just pure power/speed, Sandro isn't much of anything, Lennon is far to light weight in all area's(think Arfa I dunno, 5-10 times making runs around players, Lennon did it once IIRC). Without Modric they really HAVE to play VDV, but he's pretty inconsistent and also not enough, they need a Modric replacement coupled with VDV asap.

Ba finish was terrific.

Surprised it was his first goal since February.

It's his first game since pappis joined that he spent the whole game upfront.
AP has to be the best man manger in the league. The way he has Hatem attacking and defending is amazing. Not to mention playing ba on the wing for for 5 months and keeping him him happy.

How bad was Pardews shove on the linesman?

I have seen tinkerbell attack Peter pan in a more aggressive manner.

I will revise this opinion if proved wrong tomorrow but it looked although he was trying to get the linesmans attention, albeit with his hands, and he caught the linesman off balance and he stumbled. Then like a five year old female he cried. Though I only glanced it so if I'm wrong I stand corrected :)

i can see the fa giving pardew abit of a heavy suspension, especially first day of season the whole world is watching and with the fair play ,respect and all that they might be very heavy handed
