Everton were great tonight. Probably one of the worst United performance I've seen in a long time. Every game seems to descend with us getting to the edge of the oppositions box and then passing it sideways. Kagawa looked good though, when his team mates realised he was playing.

No complaints, couldn't handle Fellaini for the third time that I can remember, Jagelka brilliant in their defence and even when Everton handed us the initiative we still couldn't break them down

AFAIK we've never lost to Everton and then won the title, roll on next August then

Not RvP's fault. I want to see him starting ahead of Rooney next week, Rooney looks very off. Strange.

Well that wasn't the expected result I had in mind, but I knew it wasn't going to be easy against Evrt...sorry I mean the one man Fellaini show, he put kibosh to any sort of result for United! :-/

Thought we would get something when Everton switched off for the last quarter though, but they kept defending well and we passed more than we shot I thought, I was glad Anderson had that shot even though wide because it was pass after pass with no chance!

Oh well, the road is long and all that, and I'll take a RvP hat trick at home next weekend against the top dogs that are Fulham.

That game was immense. Did not want Man Utd to from 80 mins onward as it would have been all about them grabbing a point and not Evertons stellar performance.

Let's not go overboard about the loss. It's the first game of the season, United always start slowly, and it was an absolutely fantastic performance by Everton. We certainly won't play that badly every week and won't play teams as on form as Everton every week.

Yep. 90 minutes of football has proven beyond all doubt that Manchester United have blown the season.

The thing is Van Persie will do the same thing Rooney (and later Van Persie) did...stand in the middle wondering why we're playing a crossing game with the players we have. The likes of Jagielka must have been ******* laughing, like a training ground game for them.

With players like Kagawa, Rooney, Van Persie, Cleverley we should be able to go through the middle where we can actually use our strikers.
