Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [17th - 22nd December 2011]

They wouldn't be doing all this ridiculous stuff if they thought Suarez was actually in the wrong what so ever, who was the last player to be banned for racism and how long?

John Mackie was banned for 3 games (with a further 5 suspended) after admitting to racially abusing somebody. The term he used has not been confirmed but some people have said it was "******".

The statement from the players was enough imo, however it's good to see the solidarity the club are showing. Anyway, we've got another thread for this talk.

Well the shirt wearing is related to the match tonight.

Travelling kop should be great.

Do you not in any way feel uncomfortable that you're whole club is currently lauding a racist? (as it stands at the moment) I wouldn't be happy with my club acting this way.

If he is held as guilty that's a great message to put forth

"Liverpool FC home and guardian of all local racists"

Find it very uncomfortable how Liverpool are acting and they are potentially making a rod for their own back with their actions over this.

Please tell me where he has been found guilty as a racist or if even the supposed victim of these 10 or 11 verbal volleys of racist remarks calls him a racist, because i'm pretty sure he stated he isn't.

And no, i don't believe our club is stupid enough to go to these great lengths for a racist if he was one.

My thoughts exactly, I'd fully expect any club to support their player but they said their piece last night and that should have been the end of it (for now). The players statement tonight and now the shirts not only is it extremely cringeworthy it sends the wrong message on so many levels

I don't know all the facts but wasn't he charged with, then found guilty of and banned, racially abusing a player?

Just a lot of rhetoric coming out of LFC and will be hard for them to react if everything comes out and it clearly points to him being racist.

Anyway let's leave this for the other thread and focus on the footie!

Comon the lads!!!!!

Or it'll look pretty damn smart if the club are correct in believing these charges are a big of pile of **** as the entire FA itself.

That which ever way you look at it, whatever the eventual outcome is not smart it's down right embarrassing

It'll look embaressing fully backing your player whos name is being trawled through the ***** that is the british media based on some other blokes word? And if the evidence is weak or rather, non existent as we are led to believe goodluck in court.
