I assume we are trying to hold onto a 1 - 0 lead for the rest of the game now. Good idea LvG. Not quite as sensible as trying to defend a 3-1 aggregate loss vs Liverpool but still impressive.
I wasn't meaning to suggest that De Bruyne's injury has made a huge difference to their overall form (although I do think it has made some) but that they need him to come back to lift the burden Aguero's under. The way they're defending, their only hope is to blow teams away and Aguero can't do it all by himself.
And Liverpool haven't drawn with City. We've beat them twice in the league - 4-1 away and 3-0 at Anfield.
Little bit of justice. That should have been a yellow but the first one shouldn't and we should have had a penalty. They also cheated by taking off Dimachelis.
That one I wouldn't call a yellow, Aguero was looking for it. Smalling places his foot next to his but certainly didn't step on or go through Aguero's standing foot. Aguero was on his way down as he turned, the contact on his foot was absolutely tiny.
