I know how you feel, it's been far too long and I'm missing my Bovril!
At least we have 3 home games in the next 10 days or so to make up for it though :)
I hope Mata gets some minutes but unless we're a couple up with 30 mins to go I can't see it and I'd like to see Matic too but it might be a bit early for him, he'll probably make his debut v Stoke.
 
That goal is a great example of how quickly the narrative of the game can change. It only takes about 5 seconds to score a goal, whatever's happened before then.
 
Yup, 5 seconds of the defence switching off, allowing a well timed cross to go in with the defence missing the runner into the box and the game changed drastically.

Southampton started so utterly dominantly that Sunderland within 5 mins were playing like they had already lost, like closing down was pointless, with the entire team playing under huge pressure with everyone making mistakes as a result. One goal completely against the run of play and the players suddenly act like they could actually score a goal, and they play the same way, like there is something to play for.
 
We like to give teams a couple of goals head start.



We've been woeful today though. Typical Sunderland, good one week, abysmal the next.
