Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 21st January 2014]

Didn't watch it, sorry, I've had work to do. Will see it on motd2 I expect!

It was a good tackle (Imo) and he does win the ball, but is slightly unlucky in what happened after. If he never caught Ramirez ankle, everyone would say it was a world class challenge, which it kind of was, he did really well.

Great tackle. He's so unlucky that after he grazed the top of the ball with his studs he comes down on Ramirez' ankle.

I take it you disagree.I don't think it was malicious, that was my point, do you think it was? Do you think Brown was running back going "I am going to do him" ? He was unlucky with the way he landed on Ramirez ankle.

Dat turn  Lovely skill.

You didn't say it wasn't malicious, you said it was a good tackle. I don't think it was malicious, but a good challenge it was not.

He wasn't unlucky to land on Ramirez' ankle. He didn't do it deliberately, but it was an entirely predictable consequence of the way he went in to the tackle.

Not bad... Not bad at all Spurs.

I would love to see a confident Chadli. I think he would be an excellent forward as opposed to winger. Eriksen is a class above everyone else, I love him. Ade is still a beast which is so so good for us.

Tim has got his tactics spot on. If we can keep the press this effective for the second half, we will have a real chance of getting all 3 points.

If all the injury rumours are true then Chelsea have a complete free pass today. We can barely field a back four.

Rafael/Vida are supposedly out.
Rio was out on the razz last night so he's out.
Evans missed the last game due to an injury.
Evra was pulled off and it was said he was struggling with his groin.
Fabio is suspended.
Jones has just come back from injury and there's questions if he's ready to return.

No defenders, no (great) strikers... good thing our midfield is our strong point.

:o

Yeah, I wasn't too clear, sorry about that!

I disagree with the last part though, I think 9/10 the attacker will fall over when the defender starts the tackle, it just looks like a freak occurance for me.

Anyway, leave it at that :) Any update on Ramirez yet? Probably his season over.
