Two games left in League Two, Wimbledon one point off relegation with a worse GD. Desperately need a win today. Who do we have? Only league leaders Gillingham who need a result to be crowned champions and win the trophy in front of their own fans. That should be easy then.

I guess we've crashed a party before so maybe we'll crash another today.

Other than the Fulham Arsenal game though all premier league games on saturday amazingly important must wins!

Swansea - Saints is not an "amazingly important must win" IMO:

Swansea: Already qualified for Europe so don't need a win and 10pts clear of the drop zone, a draw would suit them fine in terms of keeping the chasing pack at bay and denying Saints the chance to close the gap.

Saints: 7pts clear of the relegation zone with a much better goal difference, again for them a point away at Swansea wouldn't be the worst result in the world and would maintain their goal difference. This game isn't anywhere near as crucial as the last two against Sunderland and Stoke in my eyes.

Very pessimistic about our season now. We had a run of about 4 games where we won some games, and now we have reverted back to the typical Newcastle. No energy, no determination.

Add to that the list of injuries again (Krul, Colo, Santon, Taylor) and quite clearly the others are not 100% fit yet (Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Sissoko, Mbia, Tiote, Cisse, Debuchy).

Europe has hit us hard, we were not prepared, nor did we have the squad to deal with it. I'm hoping that now we are out, we can fully focus on staying up. And build in the summer to mount a challenge again for the 2013/14 season...

+1

It was embarrassing last weekend to be a Newcastle fan due to our display both on and off the pitch.

Regarding Europe, we all said it at the end of last season that the Europa League is a killer with a small squad. We saw it affect Stoke and just knew we were going to suffer the same fate.

I'm hoping for a performance from the lads today, especially against Brom, but I'm not expecting much.

Yeah over sold that one a bit, for me a point ensures safety for Southampton so it's still important but not as much as the others.

I would prioritise West Brom over Sunderland though, Di Canio seems to have shouted at Sunderland back into playing football which will make them tougher than WBA (hopefully).

EFC XI: Howard, Coleman, Baines, Distin, Heitinga, Gibson, Osman, Fellaini, Pienaar, Anichebe, Mirallas.

Subs: Mucha, Oviedo, Naismith, Duffy, Neville, Jelavic, Barkley.

Not surprised Osman is straight back into the squad. Jags is out but still our strongest team pretty much.

Disgusting tackle from Sidwell :/...so Fulham down to 10 men...should be a walk in the park for Arsenal....i hope:p

with fulham you never know to be honest, even now and then they turn up and are brilliant, and when they do its 99% of the time at home, so many games they barely look competant, should be fairly easy with 10 you'd think, but Arsenal are just as capable of turning up and looking cack.

Doncaster conceding early on, potentially good news for Brentford.

As I type Fulham have a good chance and would have expected Berb's to do better than that.

LOL Berba should have scored there, again Arsenal looking turgid going forward...looking likely to be another long fustrating afternoon :/

Ramsey giving the ball away yet again :/

Ramsey please **** off you useless twit of a player...
