Would like to see Podolski play through the middle at some point in the second half, I'm sure he would have finished the chance which Giroud hit against the post, the same with the ball in from Theo which Giroud couldn't reach.

Di Canio is proving all the doubters wrong isn't he? They sound like they are playing like a team possessed! Possessed by which fascist dictators spirit is another story!

You'd fancy QPR to beat Stoke but there are too many journeymen in the QPR side, half of them are probably more concerned about where they'll be playing next season.

Ramsey has been gash most of the season, less bad in some games, and he hasn't played mostly anywhere but central midfield, he's mostly played in central midfield with a run of games on the right wing for no apparent reason where he was simply more useless. He played centrally before then, and since, while being pretty rubbish.

Maybe its his injury maybe he was just heading this way before that, he's average, him and Rosicky aren't going to be part of a team that makes a title push, the problem being as usual that Wenger does think they are good enough for that, as he thinks the same about so many others. Ramsey could be a half decent squad member, but first teamer, no we need significantly better quality if we want to win any serious competitions.

Doncaster conceding early on, potentially good news for Brentford

Very good news so far. Sat in a pub in Hartlepool constantly refreshing the BBC scores. Just a shame Bournemouth have already taken the lead.

I just dont get why Podolski doesnt start??, rumours are now circulating that he might be leaving this summer. If Wenger lets him go then Wenger is truly the biggest fool in management at the moment. I just dont get why he doesnt start Podolski, hes a far better player than some of the current turd we have on the field. Dont care, play him on the left or through the middle...we cant be any worse than we are at the moment.

Still not 100% convinced about Giroud, he misses far too many easy chances and his position and first touch leaves a lot to be desired for imo. Sure its his first season so ill wait till next season to see if he actually turns out to be the player that people rave about.

I think for his first season Giroud has done alright, I think he's on 17 or 18 goals, somewhere around that mark anyway, obviously that's in all competitions but in my opinion it's a decent tally for a player coming into a new team and a new league. I'm not overly convinced by him, he'll never replace someone of RvP's talent, but he could be a decent enough player for us provided we sign another striker or at least use Podolski in his preferred position.

I also have no idea why he hasn't been playing that much lately, I think the reports of him leaving in the summer are well wide of the mark though, it doesn't really make any sense to me. He's played less recently, but it's not as if he hasn't played at all since joining, though admittedly Wenger subbed him off at the 70th minute in virtually every match he's started him in which is annoying.

Oh FFS Arteta, first you give the ****ing ball away then you go and foul a player and give them a nice little freekick in a dangerous area.

Made the most of it Emanuelson, no contact :/

I kinda missed the whole Yeovil sneaking back up on the top thing though, they might finish above Brentford, it doesn't really matter, you just theoretically might get one easier game in the play offs.

Sheffield getting butt hurt as well, :p

Reading 2-0 down in a matter of minutes, to be honest I wasn't paying attention to any build up as I've had an assignment that has kept me working all hours this week, do Reading and QPR get relegated if they don't win today, depends on if I'm looking at a table that includes todays game or not (says 34 played). Hmm, both down if they lose today and Villa/Stoke/Sunderland win?

he hasn't started in the league since January I think, if Podolski doesn't think the manager will play him he'll want to leave, and I can't blame him.

Again I'll point out, look at Arshavin, or numerous others, great players who Wenger decides are "out" and we barely see them unless Wenger has no other choice. If I was Podolski I'd be ******* livid at Wenger and be desparately wanting out.

He's so far superior to 95% of our squad, yet can't get a game at the moment, his sub appearances have been becoming fewer as well, being an unused sub more often.

Arshavin and Podolski are so so far ahead of the likes of Walcott, Gervinho, and Santi looks pretty god awful on the wing, Ramsey, lol.

As for Giroud, he hasn't been terrible but he hasn't been good, the 17 goals don't matter to me at all, he could score 5 or 25, its how he plays that matters. The biggest issue is Girouds best games are when Podoski plays, his interplay with guys passing into him and making runs behind has been at times exceptional this season. I don't think he's shown much of any ability to be able to take a long ball turn and run at goal and score, most of his goals are tap ins, I have no issue with that but I don't think there is much special about him.

Personally I think he's being wasted as the way Podolski plays, Santi and Giroud look better with a guy making runs like Podolski, because his movement coming into the box and his passing and ability to receive the ball mean the Santi/Podolski/Giroud trio looked VERY good offensively.

Giroud is barely involved in games like today, he might get a tap in, not much else, santi is awful on the wing. It just makes no sense, SO many games recently we've been like this, utterly toothless in open play. Rosicky and Ramsey don't have the movement/speed/brains to make the dangerous runs Podolski does. A Podolski opens up defences, makes room for Giroud, or Giroud makes room for him and Santi behind them can pick out the passes. Set up like today, Giroud isn't playing with anyone, Santi isn't getting involved enough and our central midfielders are too slow/uncreative/boring to make the required runs.

We just look clueless going forward, i mean we cant even break Fulham down and they are a man down...says it all about Arsenal and their turgid performances.
