Anyways,
Good performance from us in what i thought would be our hardest game this season but turned out not to be.
Nice and easy 3 points. Shame we gave 1 away.

Really? Newcastle could have easily taken something from today had their finishing been a bit better. Ba had the 2 best chances of the first half but fluffed them both and even in the 2nd half they should have got back into the game before you scored the 3rd.
edit: Yakubu's penalty was in the 99th minute?

I would say so yes. They had a few chances and didnt take them but we controlled that game. Newcastle barely had the ball for a period of time before we won it back. We rarely got out of 2nd gear after the 1st and then the 2nd as we have a much bigger game on tuesday so its not surprising that Newcastle got back into it a little 2nd half and then their goal.Really? Lossing 3-1 to city is a good result for any club these days lol
still we had some very good chances just not our day!
shame Ben Afa shot just dint sneak in. Dint think even city fans would have minded him scoring

What prompted that? They were miles better than West Brom were two weeks ago. Made an actual game of it.
How can you say you controlled the game when they created as many clear chances as you did?
We just generally controlled the game in terms of playing more passes successfully together, more possession and more shots on target. Many of their chances came through mistakes by us so to say they created them is wrong imo.
I dont think anyone can say we didn't deserve to win today, we attacked i dont know how many times, had the ball for long periods of time in their half and if it wasn't for some very good defending it would have been far more.
Rumours that Newcastle fans were letting off "bangers" and ripping out seats...throwing fireworks at City fans also apparently :/
