They'd get beaten if they didn't show up.

Depends if Liverpool play as they have been these past few matches.

If liverpool lose, expect all the fickle fans calling for his head, however a win and they will love him and all is well until they go on a bad little run again.

Arsenal have a decent chance of getting something out of the game but only if they play well.

Defence for us is a worry as always.

i predict 3:2 to arsenal

you like starting your own bandwagons to jump on.

bandwagon of rodgers going? lol no if i was a liverpool fan id give him end of the season/start of next season as liverpool have bought lots of new players and they need time to gel.

I'd also would have backed Moyes and see how he does this 1st half of the season as i reckon he would have come good.

Some managers do take time to build teams up you know!

on moyes, just no. that would've been the biggest mistake ever.

you're probably only saying that as an arsenal fan trying to make out united fans were fickle to want him gone, even though all the signs of regression were there.

/on topic - think we'll smash villa this weekend, even more so if di maria is fit and gets some game time.

boxing day, newcastle should be a good game at old trafford. expect it to be a slim win tho... they played brilliantly for the majority against chelsea, we were pretty average against pool last weekend, so can see them taking the game to us.

Not sure I can stomach watching any of our games over Christmas.

You said this a week or so ago...

Chelsea
Arsenal
Mackems
Man Utd
Everton

:o

Merry Christmas everyone. I'll be back in the New Year.

I said this:

2 wins and a draw there for you I think. At least 2 wins. It is a mental year though you could end up with 4 wins ;)

I still think you will actually get better than I predicted. You will certainly beat us (everton). So I reckon 3 wins from that lot will be very good going.

We've conceded 9 goals in our last 3 with Alnwick in goal. He's 21 and very new to this level, but he can't even get the basics right. He's so bad and as harsh as it is I was praying he was injured for Sunday. Also with a CB who's playing 2 leagues above his level in front of him we'll be lucky not to ship 5+ against both you and Man U, and of course we'll lose the derby, that's a given nowadays.

For all the issues Everton are having at the moment with your lack of cutting edge you're still miles ahead of us footballing wise.

Tons of injuries sure, of course that's going to hurt us, but no amount of injuries should warrant the starting of Williamson or Gouffran (I would find the stats of our results with those 2 in the team but I really cba to depress myself any further) and if either of them start any 1 of these 3 games over the Christmas period then I think I'm done until ISIS find Pardew.

Signs of regression was there when fergie was at the helm.

Moyes got dumped with an ageing team and needed rebuilding.

The bloke never had a proper chance at united. This season so far you are doing a bit better but not leaps and bounds better and thats after you put something like over 100m assembling the current squad you have now .

Had you not spunked the cash, united would be doing no better then last season with LVG at the helm with same squad as last season.

I cant speak for everyone else here but even though United have won 6 on the bounce, most of those matches, united have been poor and outplayed.

United are not exactly playing good entertaining football either(i have seen a few of there matches, dire) so IMO you have not progressed enough over Moyes to call Moyes a complete dud.

either that is the case, OR, LVG simple is as crap as moyes as a manager because given the budget and the team he has now, they should be playing better football and pushing for the title.

Another manager under that fickle rainbow cloud is Padrew. Begining of teh season newcastle fans wanted him gone and now after a few good wins and even a famous win against chelsea, His god. His the right man for the job etc etc.

Now they have lost quite heavily in there past 2 games and now some newcastle fans are asking for his head again.

Now thats the very definition of fickle.

You either want him out or not. Yea its fine to change your mind after a season or two? but a game or two? na..

By the end of the year we shall see where some of these teams stand as quite a few matches are happening this coming holiday.

For my team arsenal we simply need to go on a run now. No ifs or buts. More staggering set of matches where we win one, lose the next and we will start to struggle for top 4 let alone compete for the title.

I also feel Chelsea will go on a bad run soon and City will catch them.
However chelsea will win the league with a game to spare though so not exactly will run away with it

First trip to Cardiff's new stadium tomorrow. Going along with my uncle, a former brentford attendee in his youth. The last game he came to was that Doncaster Rovers one... :(

Falcao - injured for most of the season
Di Maria - Injured for the past 4 games and new in the summer
Herrera - Injured most of the season
Blind - Injured for a fair bit of the season
Shaw - Injured for most of the season

Add into that the fact that we have had Smalling, Jones, Evans and Rafael all injured for long periods of the season and:

A. We have had to make do with mostly the same side as last season yet all of the team looks better under LvG.
B. We have a new manager and lots of new players
C. We never have anything like the same squad out there week to week.
D. Moyes had Giggs, Evra, Ferdinand and Vidic last season aka most of our defence.
E. Moyes had the chance to spend money and didn't for the most part.
F. We are in the top 3, 5 points clear of Arsenal who haven't had pretty much any of the above issues.

No 'recognised striker for City today'. Scott Sinclair on the bench though! :D
