Chelsea are getting played off the pitch this 2nd half
The overall margin of error is a system error that's calculated based on the accumulation of all the errors in the measurement - the decision on when the ball is kicked, the accuracy of the line system and cameras and the accuracy of decision on lining up with body parts. All that can be worked out before hand and built into the computer itself.Ok, so you use a margin of error, we spend the exact same amount of time measuring whether they're 5cm (or whatever the margin is) on or offside and then we end up with a decisions that is much more likely to be wrong than just trusting the initial hawkeye decision. Where's the benefit? We're wasting the same time, supporters are left getting frustrated, not knowing what's going on and whether they can celebrate and we're getting less correct decisions.
Massive, I had written AV off and joing Norwich going down, but that really opens it up. I think West Ham are in serious trouble now.Huge win that. HUGE.
You can build in the margin of error but you still need to measure the initial line from which the margin of error is based on, exactly as you do now. There will be no change to how long the system takes to come up with it's decision, there will be no change in regards to supporters sat not knowing what's going on and whether they can celebrate. All you're doing is making your decision off a line that's been moved 5cm in one direction. The only difference is it's less likely to result in the correct decision. The overall margin of error is a system error that's calculated based on the accumulation of all the errors in the measurement - the decision on when the ball is kicked, the accuracy of the line system and cameras and the accuracy of decision on lining up with body parts. If the system then comes back with a player being offside by a value smaller than that previously calculated margin of error then it can't confidently state he's offside, so it shouldn't give them.
If this is how the system works at the moment then great, but I don't believe for a second it does.
It would have done while the game was on going and decided it wasn't clear and obvious so there was no need to announce the review to the crowd as there was no delay. Why on earth didn't VAR check for that rather obvious penalty on Ali?
Accounting for the margin or error means it's more accurate as it means you are confident the decision is correct - that's a requirement of making a refereeing decision. You can build in the margin of error but you still need to measure the initial line from which the margin of error is based on, exactly as you do now. Every week i think 'I won't add Ings to the fantasy football, he surely won't score again' and yet again i've regretted it![]()
I thought everyone would have him by now, most in my leagues have him and Vardy. He was my captain last week and seems to be a solid shout for captain every week.I looked at their fixtures and thought he'd stop scoring, regretting it now!
It may help balance the diving by Southampton. Was a beautiful scream to get out of yellow card for late tackle that injured Ndombele.Alli diving as usual. will probably happen another 2-3 times this game.
