Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [1st - 2nd September 2012]

Yep pretty much according to Purdy, doesnt like to give credit where credit is due. Not Arsenals fault that Liverpool are playing so poorly. But meh whatever eases his heartache at losing to a far superior team today.

You can only beat what's put in front of you which we did. I'm not going to rise to someone who can't see past his own blinkered viewpoint. Our midfield totally outclassed theirs, our back 4 were solid apart from a couple of incidences and the frontline took their chances quite well apart from Giroud who was wasteful yet again. A mixed bag but we outplayed them for large periods.

De Gea seemingly being rotated with Lindee. Oh dear, rotating the keepers is just mad so I hope he's got a knock rather than rotating.

Odd to see Nani not starting again, especially with Young being injured.

Hopefully a good controlling performance so we see the back of Nick G ;).

Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal FT

Didn't play too bad but sloppy passing and mistakes at the back cost us yet again. Didn't really have anything to hurt Arsenal in attack and they deserved the win.

Hard times ahead.

Reina, what has happened to you my friend? Gerrard should have been replaced by Hendo, had a complete shocker. Suarez - well we all know he is no goal scorer, Borini in middle Suarez on right please.

Allen was my MOTM, guy is just a maestro at what he does. Sahin did well for me too, needs match fitness.

Where did I say Liverpool have been excellent? We've created great chances doesn't make it excellent play considering we can't score, but yes both your goals were heavily influenced by Liverpool mistakes. Butthurt? I'd rather you outplayed us, causing our own down fall is sad and embarrassing

No you you didnt.

Arsenal were better for huge amounts of the game, Liverpool were bossed in midfield and barely created anything of note bar the Sterling chance.

This

For all the tippy tap from Allen and Sahin they created little

Really? We had a fair few more shots and about 8 more corners.

Don't get me wrong, Arsenal deserved to win they put the ball in the net and Reina, but us creating your goals and not being able to score our own chances is awful to watch, like I said I'd rather you outplayed us, easier to take

Our confirmed starting XI and subs:

------------Lindegaard------------
Rafael---Vidic---Ferdinand---Evra
--------------Carrick--------------
-------Cleverley--Kagawa-------
Valencia-------RVP-------Welbeck

Subs: De Gea, Evans, Giggs, Scholes, Powell, Nani, Hernandez

Like the defence, like the midfield but not happy about the GK situation or no Nani on the left :(

Pretty much my sentiments as well, im just hoping Giroud comes good soon and scores a few goals for us. Looks like hes lacking confidence.

Diaby man of the match, well deserved...a few more performances like that Diaby...without getting injured preferably:p

Nice to have three clean sheets. Would have liked the extra points from the other games but being the only side in the premiership not to concede a goal is a massive turn around from last season. I'd still give Giroud a bit of time, a goal and he will be fine.

I wonder if Agger instead of the money still seems like a good idea? Doesn't matter who you have stopping the goals when you're completely toothless in attack.

3 games, 2 for, 7 against, another season of Liverpool fans telling themselves their failure to score was largely bad luck? :p.
