Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [1st - 5th December 2016]

It is still raised hands is it not?

You do not know what was said, nor do I, we do not know what was said to try and provoke a reaction either.

Painting Cesc as innocent is wrong; he's just a coward.

Yes, 'my' bias is shining through because I like him as a player. Cesc being a coward because you THINK he said something which somehow riled up Fernandinho into grabbing him by the throat repeatedly.... lol.

Coward for not reacting? Coward for going in and trying to get between players rather than fight, coward for throwing himself to the ground the first time Fernandinho grabbed him around the throat?

He slapped him though, you got to concede that point. A simple yes or no will do.

I've not said he definitely said anything, he could have been trying to provoke a reaction; he could have been telling him his shopping list. He slapped Fernadinho before Fernadinho did anything to him other than try to pull him away from the City player he had hold of.

He did react, he slapped Fernadinho and then realised he made a mistake.

Luiz probably should have been off in the first half for the bodycheck on Aguero when he was the last man.

It was definitely a foul, but probably a yellow card? Luiz just seems excellent at winding people up, something many Chelsea players seem to be good at.

Last man and prevented a one on one with the keeper. Clear red if its a foul.

Fernandinho had his hand in Fabregas's throat at the time fabregas puts his hand up... and after Fernandinho was pulling him away by grabbing him around the back of the neck. Fabregas was pulling Iheanacho away with an arm around his chest in a sensible way, not by getting in his face or putting his hand in his face.

Before Fernandinho did anything, seriously, your bias is getting embarrassing.

Fabregas went in to calm down Iheanacho who was being incredibly aggressive and didn't try to provoke him at all, then he suddenly thought why be peacemaker, I'm going to provoke someone. Then he randomly thought who is a good target, maybe the guy with his hand around my neck/throat.

As for not saying he definitely said anything, you stated he was a coward... and the only explanation you've given is that he said something to provoke Fernandinho. Again I asked you what made him a coward, instead of answering you're talking rubbish about Fernandinho doing nothing till after the 'slap'. Which simply looks like Fabregas attempting to push away someone who has their hand in his throat.

Eh?

Cesc tries to pull a player away; Fernandinho tried to pull Cesc off that player... who then slaps him and then realises he done a mistake.

Praise Cesc, the magnificent peacekeeper (when he's not slapping people).

I have no bias, I don't have much time for either team.

Haha, he's a coward for slapping someone and then trying to back off because he realised he slapped the wrong person :D, could have been asking Fernadinho not to hurt him :p.

Lansbury cheating then has the front to complain about getting booked for a clear foul.

Loathe that little ****

Lansbury has always gotten away with absolute murder, he's constantly aggressive, physical and dirty. Properly boggles my mind that he gets away with it so often.

That said; the referee should have sent him and Jonjo off, they both kicked out, and should both have been sent off. Thought it was quite obvious to be honest.

Hopefully the ref will be sacked, complete and utter shambles.

Eh? Average Championship referee ;).

Is this right, Aguero will get a 4 match ban this time as he's already been banned this season? https://twitter.com/sistoney67/status/805056047509598208

I'm also guessing that's minimum.

Depends what the ref put it down as, violent conduct is usually deemed something off the ball while reckless or dangerous tackles are deemed a different offence.

IE you get a red for violent conduct, 3 game ban, a red for a reckless tackle, 3 game ban. If you get a second red specifically for violent conduct then it becomes automatically a 4 game ban(3 base + 1 for each previous offence). In any case the FA can increase the ban for pretty much anything outside of a red for two yellows I believe.

So if the ref writes it up as a reckless challenge, it should be 3 match ban, if he writes it up as violent conduct, it should be at least a 4 match ban.

West Brom have worked out how to score, and even attack somewhat. I think there was a probably a conversation between manager and owner there with a threat of being fired if they don't actually attack a bit this year and as a result West brom are actually trying to play at least some football.

Southampton absolutely gifting Palace their first goal.

EDIT:_ seemingly a monumental dive from Alli leading to a penalty which Kane converts.
