Ramires's tackle was nasty, again, but it wasn't that bad, it wasn't a red. LIkewise Colo's was bad, not intentional but also not a red. Firstly Ba made his shot, so a goal scoring chance wasn't prevented, and it was bad luck more than anything else, I really can't decide if I would have given the penalty, maybe, maybe not. Ultimately if things didn't happen how they did, if a penalty was given, who knows how the rest of the game would have played out, could have ended up 4-1 to Newcastle, or 0-27 to Chelsea, you can't ever say "we deserved a penalty, therefore with that extra certain goal as no one misses penalties, we'd have certainly won or got the draw".
Newcastle are looking better, they really did look improved most of December, not brilliant, but some good spells and good halfs, just the final 20 mins against Arsenal/Utd were abysmal.
It's a bit funny/ironic that you finally buy a CB and Taylor comes back from injury and, while last week I think lack of fitness played a huge part in the second half showing of poo by the defence, he looked better this week.
Was a bit disappointed from the replay that he actually did block that shot with his nuts, I forget who they were playing but his blatant handball block then pretending he took it in the nuts years ago was brilliant
Sissoko's certainly looking good, Cabaye post injury seems back towards last years form, Cisse is playing better, Debuchy looks pretty good and a proper CB in for Williamson is the biggest improvement in the team.
The only thing I can't work out is, Perch, I'd play almost anyone else you had over him, Gael, Anita, Pardew, Carr, Ashley
