Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2 - 3rd November 2013]

Should have at least got a hand to it, the shot didnt require him to dive in fact he had already set himself for Walcott to shoot but his reactions weren't up to par.

Anyway with luck we won't face a situation like that this saturday, we'll probably get torn a new one as our midfield wont cope though :(

Will be a good game, Im sure we will score, Just abit dubious about our defence with the pace Arsenal have they will have to have another excellent game with no errors!

Looking forward to it, Were both playing really well im quite confident we can get a result 2-1 to us! :D

We don't really have that much pace. Other than Gnabry no one has any blistering pace that will leave a defender for dead.

Apparently Pardew was seen in the city centre buying a bucket of lube and a dictionary of excuses. He's now slipping pre-match preparations (as clearly evidenced by our form) and getting ready for another post match performance.

Hull v Sunderland
Stoke v Soton
Arsenal v Liverpool

They sound the best games of the weekend. Was the derby day just a flash in the pan for the Mackems? Can Soton continue there form against a historically good home team and be interesting which of the two new top teams can get one over the other. Personally fancy Pool to win it.

Good memories of the Newcastle-Chelsea fixture last season. The noise in St James' when Sissoko scored was just immense. First and only time I've ever literally jumped for joy.

Looks like Man City have dropped Joe Hart for the Norwich game.

Can't say that I blame them after his recent performances... Maybe a break will do him good.

Probably... But it's hard to argue against the fact that he's had some real howlers recently. The mistake against Chelsea last weekend, which frankly cost Man City two points and gifted two to their title rivals, was just the latest in a string of bad mistakes.

there's a good chance i'll be going to the everton v spurs game so i apologise to fellow spurs fans in advance, i'm not very good luck :(

Personally I thought Benitez was the best manager Chelsea had since Guss Hiddink's brief spell in charge. He turned the season around, brought in the Europa league cup, and I'm sure he would have made a fair job of challenging for the top two premier league spots this year. I find it hard to fault his term in charge frankly...

I'm glad Mourinho is back at the helm - he's a great manager and highly entertaining, but if he wasn't coming back then I'd have been happy to see Rafa stay. It used to irritate me no end seeing him boo'd constantly at home games.

I'm not looking forward to the game today at all, all I can see is a dry bumming coming our way, with partridge's excuses being "we was tired from the mid week extra time" but hay ho off to the match I go.

Chelsea team: Cech; Ivanovic, D Luiz, Terry (c), Cole; Ramires, Lampard; Mata, Oscar, Hazard; Torres

Subs: Schwarzer, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Mikel, Willian, Schurrle, Eto’o

Well Arsenal might field this team today: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Giibs, Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil, Cazorla and Giroud.

No Flamini which is a huge loss as ive noticed in the past couple of games hes gone off injured that we dont really play as well as we normally do. Going to miss his interceptions and tackling....hopefully Arteta will step up because without Flamini...our back 4 are going to need someone to protect them especially against Suarez and Sturridge.
