I see that both Mata and Oscar are on the field: Is it Oscar playing in the central "playmaker" position? And Mata on the wing? Or some other formation?

It'll be interesting to see how it works out. It seems that Oscar in the centre and Mata on the side is the formation that Mourinho's trying to push (even if it's not Mata's preference).

From the text, and from what I caught on the radio, it seems that Chelsea were dominating possession, especially in the first 20 minutes or so, but couldn't really make anything out of it up front?

Is that due to an attacking lapse on their part? Or excellent Newcastle defending?

Oh, and how was Torres today? Not heard or seen his name mentioned much...

Torres hasn't been getting any service. Chelsea dominated the first 20 but then Newcastle got back into it. Neither side really creating anything though.

Dull.

Newcastle have been defending well - bar a few panicky clearances. Tiote was at his best before he went off injured.

Torres has had nothing to work with.
