Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2 - 3rd November 2013]

Well have to say watching the highlights, seemed like Liverpool played right into our hands with their formation, 2nd half they changed to a back 4 but really didnt make much of a difference in the end.

Rambo scored with a sublime shot that just got under the bar but was hilarious seeing Sturridge going nuts on Suarez when he was through but tbh Kos would have intercepted that pass quite easily.

Was a pretty open and attacking game from what i saw of the highlights...good win 3 pts bagged and 5 pt gap at the top of the league.

Next test is Dortmund on Wed then Utd at OT, should be a corker and we should be able to beat them as Utd dont look anything special now.

I'm as big an Arsenal fan as any of the other Gooners on here but some of the comments have been cringeworthy, also seen a few unfamiliar posters crop up, not unlike when City came into some money and we constantly had Biz Kid et al. So far our league campaign has gone well but we're not even into December, there's a long way to go and all the teams are dropping points. This good form won't last forever and winning the league will be decided on how well we recover from an inevitable setback, how well Chelsea manage to keep pace and neither of the Manchester sides can be written off either.

Just because we're doing well and other teams are doing poorly by their standards doesn't mean we are going to run away with anything and there are a few people who should wind their neck in seeing as there's the potential to be hugely embarrassed which ends up impacting other Arsenal supports on the boards who don't like to take things for granted.

You cant really judge Arsenal till the last month of the season, they have been here more than once before and have imploded in spectacular fashion.

off to goodison park once i've stopped scoffing my face with mcdonalds muffins.

hoping we start sandro to help keep lukaku in check and i'd start kaboul over dawson too though i can't see it happening. here's hoping we score from open play :/

It's unbelievable how many Arsenal fans have gone from wanting their manager out, kill the board and sell all the players to suddenly walking around with their ***** swinging from side to side hitting their knees declaring themselves the best club ever.

So should us arsenal fans continue to boo and **** off our club when they are winning games?

Are we not allowed to celebrate and cheer

What about the cocky Liverpool fans in here thinking they will win the title easily?

rubbish.

who in here is gloating and thinking we are going to win the league easily?

no one here is saying that for petes sake. every arsenal fan here are leve headed and just enjoying us winning.

That is all.

Title who on earth said that lol I didn't expect us to win with that joke of a midfield. Id'e be more peed off if we had lost to newcastle 2-0 with all the talent chelsea have.

oh and no other fans of clubs have ever done the same have they!

Indeed but i think this season, we have shown a lot more resilience in our games. Games that we have lost or drawn last season and seasons in the past, the same games this season are managing to hold out for a win or draw etc.

But yes its early days so far and we have only played Spurs and Liverpool, if we beat Utd, Chelsea and City in the league then i will truly start believing that we can finally win a PL title and a trophy for the first time in 8 yrs.

LOL just LOL, not like other fans of clubs do the same eh??.

Plenty have shown up recently and acting like arrogant bellshines.

Do you read this forum? I doubt you can find a Liverpool fan thinking we were even challenging for the title, I think you'll find its more likely we are hoping to keep winning to keep fourth still alive by the new year, considering over christmas we play Spurs+City+Chelsea all away in the space of fourteen days

LOL just LOL, not like other fans of clubs do the same eh??.

The only ones who have been this bad were Newcastle fans where they started appearing everywhere acting like they had actually done something recently.

Well said.

Newcastle were pretty decent 2nd half yesterday and deserved the win, Chelsea on the other hand were just ****ing poo.
I hate November.

EFC Team. Just Osman in for Barkley.

Spurs XI:

Lloris; Walker, Dawson, Chiriches, Vertonghen; Sandro, Paulinho; Townsend, Holtby, Lennon; Soldado

Spurs playing a defensive midfield with Sandra and Paulinho, we could suffer with Holby on and no Eriksen or Dembele

MW

They've dominated almost every game they've played but they struggle to score and drop off before the jobs done.
