Yep, Jones really looked pretty clueless today but Rooney is incredibly casual and wasteful in possession at times. Quite often his mis control, poorly placed pass or poor decision making put United on the back foot. Because he has a habit of coming deep to receive the ball it also means that the midfield is immediately caught out. If he could eliminate those mistakes he has a chance of being a world bracketed player. As it stands, for me he is overhyped too often.

United were awful in the 2nd half. The subs seemed to have a really negative impact and whilst Fellaini shored things up at times, Kagawa wasted 45 minutes by being completely unable to influence the game. Sadly I see him as becoming another Kleberson.

Next week will be interesting. United have little fluency through midfield regardless of line up. All their power is coming from Janusaj, Rooney, RvP and occasionally the threat from Rafael and Valencia. Rumour is that Carrick is out for a week or two leaving United quite exposed in CM. Arteta, Ramsey and Carzola looks a good trio for retaining attacking possession. Its Arsenal's first real test and I have a feeling they will leave OT with no points but having outplayed the hosts. Although United have been slated this season, and with some cause, they are 2 pts behind City and only three behind Chelsea. A win on Sunday will do nicely.
