Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2 - 3rd November 2013]

Everton fans showing their class

i was sat in the everton seats with 2 everton supporting mates and had a clear view of the incident and i thought he was out cold until i saw his leg move.

i know it's to be expected but some of the comments shouted from the crowd were quite simply disgusting.

pretty drab game though. spurs started very well but the play was very laboured for the best part. i'd have taken a point before the game but after the first 20 mins, it's clear we were dominating and should've created more chances. second half everton looked the more likely to score in parts.

bit concerned about our continued failure to score from open play now and tbh, soldado was frustrating with his lack of running into space. eriksen or holtby can play a no10 role but soldado needs to start running the channels when we come from deep. he's also pretty useless at winning a ball in the air from a lloris kick. adebayor deserves a shot and i feel we may go back in for benteke.

lukaku wasn't great either, sandro won a lot of things against him and he showed he's far from the finished article.

The speed, vision and technique of the Arsenal goal beats Kasami's, easily. Much harder goal to score. It was a pretty poor chest to be honest but he bailed himself out with a really good hit.

I honestly can't decide. Van Basten's goal is often mentioned alongside the best ever scored and Kasami's was almost as good as that. On the other hand, despite being a tap in the sheer number of passes, flicks and touches leading up to Wilshere's goals was ridiculous. There was so much that could've gone wrong but it was perfect.

David Moyes spent 11 years trying to get Everton above Man United and now he's finally achieved it.

:D
Welcome to last week and the week before that and the week before that and the week before that and the week before that and the week before that. Maybe another week before that too :p

Yep. You'll see another goal like Kasami's this season, it might be a while before we see another like Wilshere's.

I was going to say there will be a few volleys similar to the Fulham one, where as with Wilshere, you could wait years to see another goal like that.

Sturridge would have won any other week.

Arsenal will try and play through the middle of each team all season, and will be stopped by any competent defense.

I like kasumis goal because there is no danger on, the defender is sheparding him where he wants him, the keeper is happy with him there, and he surprises them with a brilliant strike out of nowhere.
