Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [2 - 3rd November 2013]

I was going to say there will be a few volleys similar to the Fulham one, where as with Wilshere, you could wait years to see another goal like that.

Sturridge would have won any other week.

Sturridge didn't win because of his **** celebrations and the fact everyone knows he is a ****. :p

David Moyes spent 11 years trying to get Everton above Man United and now he's finally achieved it.

:D

LOL

Didnt see much of the SAS on Sat against us other than Sturridge going nuts at Suarez for not threading a pass through to him lol.

Spurs and Everton game was a complete and utter borefest, was hoping Everton would have done them over. The Welsh derby was a pretty decent game compared to the Spurs game.

All in all a fantastic weekend of football for Arsenal, now onto Dortmund then Utd next weekend. Should be fun, 2 tough games coming up.

I thought we played really well on Saturday. I think we can definitely dominate Man United's midfield next week but RvP and Rooney will be harder to contain.

i think if we can contain suarez we can contain RVP. Suarez imo is playing better then RVP at the minute. Both players capable of scoring out of nothing though we we seemed to handle suarez really well

I agree, but RVP will no doubt want to prove himself against us in that game. But yeh I think we can still contain him.

Some form? We've managed to beat two teams around the relegation zone and struggled past a third around the relegation zone :p

I hadn't really checked who Utd have actually beaten played all season till just now.

5 wins in the league against Swansea, Palace, Sunderland, Stoke and Fulham..... Swansea being far and away the best team out of those and they've been pretty poor this season. A couple of those you've been trailing and required a lot of luck to get the result. Even the Fulham game they had a serious chance of dropping points in that second half with Fulham having plenty of great chances.

Losing against liverpool/City and drawing against Chelsea isn't terrible, they are 3 of the top 4 best teams this year probably but in terms of fighting for a top four 1 point out of 9 against the top 4 is a very poor showing so far.

Just watching the fallout of Spurs' decision to allow Lloris to play on, on SSN. It seems like a lot of people aren't too happy with Spurs' decision and there's calls for changes in the rules that would prevent a player continuing in future.

I have to say, after reading AVB and Dawson's views on it last night, the decision for Lloris to play on didn't sit right with me. I can't say I noticed it at the time but Dawson said that Lloris legs gave way when he first tried to stand up. And despite what Spurs are now saying (the medical team were happy for him to continue), I thought it was pretty clear that the doc/physio wanted him to come off and that it was AVB that made the decision based on Lloris wanting to play on, which he admitted in his post match interview.

Thankfully it doesn't appear like Lloris suffered any serious damage.
