Last season, Liverpool's front men weren't afraid of taking men on and making runs.

They have been so toothless and purposeless this match. Too much faff not enough intent.
 
I think the biggest issue is that teams have learnt from the matches we struggled in last season. Don't give us space, funnel us wide, and hit us on the break and with set plays. We need to manage matches better and attack with more intelligence rather than being quite so gung ho.
 
It's clear our problem is players who have no idea what each other is doing.

It's going to take time to get the understanding. We also miss sturridge a lot.
 
Abysmal performance, abysmal result but it could've been so much worse. Rodgers needs to take responsibility for this defense and go back to the drawing board. I could accept a poor defence when we were full guns blazing but we're just as toothless in attack as we are in defense. Very very worried.
 
Man.U. need a point tomorrow to go above Liverpool, this is why it's pointless taking anything that happens in the first 6 weeks or so as a guide of how the season will pan out.
