Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [20th - 24th April 2012]

No, how about make some noise at Anfield for once when it isn't just top 6 teams, actually that is probably a stretch, top 4.

Our support is pretty bog standard bar the big games and that certainly has an affect on the players when they hear our crowd being loud.

Huh?

What difference is it going to make them doing what they should do now? 5mins left so i would boo and sing ya getting sacked.

I know it effects the players but at this point i dont think any of them give a flying monkeys especially now the season is nearly over

Look at those ***** leaving their seats early, I'd ****ing love to be able to afford to go to every match and stay to the final whistle no matter the score, what a bunch of nobs.

Macarthy wasn't great but a shambolic decision to get rid of Mick for that Ming they brought in. Mickey mouse team and a shame they punched 2pts off us.

Feel sorry for the fans but the players, manager and board should all hang heir heads in shame.

Tbh, as much as it is great and all he won the ball with that tackle, that is a red card and completely reckless.

I thought the same at the time, its a two footed challenge with studs showing, and hes off the ground.

winning the ball or not, its dangerous and he should get a card for it, even if yellow.

Stats don't tell the full story, his chance conversion is poor but luckily his all round play makes up for it.

That's quite funny, he has more goals per shot than Rooney or RVP..... stats don't tell the whole story.... but add a few more stats and take off the Rooney tinted glasses, and he's one of the best finishers in the country.

Daft fans see a striker miss a few "sitters" and suddenly proclaim them poor finishers like the best strikers in the world never ever miss a chance.

It wasn't a tackle though, it was an interception - he was cutting out the pass towards Ramires. A tackle implies that the player had the ball under control.

I have to agree, if that tackle hits a planted leg, it could snap.

Fair point also.

It's one of the most blantant red cards of the season, honestly had Kalou not seen that coming and jumped out the way that is a potential career ending injury, and because of the force, the direction and where Kalou was standing, he might have gone through both of his legs, not just the one. A LOT of players would have made a huge deal out of that and left enough of a leg in for there to be contact, rolled around and proclaimed a leg broken till the card was shown, so nice to see a player not doing that, but ref's were stamping out( :p ) that kind of tackle for maybe 2 months of the season even when there wasn't contact, just the dangerousness. I don't want Kos sent off but more random ref nonsense where they randomly pick on one particular rule to "over enforce" for a while, but give up on it quickly leaving zero consistency over a season.

Overall he had a great game but that was beyond doubt a red, said so yesterday, the only time that isn't a red is if its Kolo, and he's no where near another player and just putting on some kung fu skills for the fans.

LIverpool, pap, City, struggled but got there in the end, Wolves pressed pretty hard and weren't anywhere near as dreadful as usual but ultimately it would have taken a freaking miracle for City to not win that.

Another ridiculous game in a ridiculous season. How we didn't score 5 let alone 1 today I'll never know. If we could score, we'd be a very good team. Hopefully that's rectified in the summer.

This result feels like one of those bull **** FM results you get sometimes, where you really feel like just loading the previous save and restarting the match.. except this is real and our grasp on the title has loosened a little because of this.

so true, miss those days of CM
