Whats so special about April 4th? Surely just a random date, no?
Vagaries of the league schedule more than anything - especially given Leicester haven't played any of the "normal" top 5 yet this season. Last 4 fixtures on the trot for this half of the season could be an absolute nightmare.
don't get me wrong, they are a great team doing astoundingly well with low budget players (like Southampton season before last but better /with cheaper players), lets see where they are @ New Years day after having played everyone once. Would be interesting to see them without Vardy and if they are still equally lethal in the opposition's half.
Well done to Liverpool, good to see Firmino coming on song, didn't think it would take him long once he got a string of games together. Fantastic away win, no question and fully deserved but a few things went in their favour yesterday , ie. away game = less pressure on Liverpool let alone at league topping side -before these fixtures-, after Int break always throws up odd results, Silva and Kompany missing (even bigger misses than Sturridge for Liverpool), and aguerro not being anywhere near fit - not to mention still under the "new manager" aura which is always a big boost for the first few months
City really are flat-track bullies at the moment, so a result for Liverpool wasn't out of the question anyway , but such an amount of "daylight" in the score line was quite comical to see.
If Chelsea do fail in getting into the top four and/ or Utd completely **** up (which isn't out of the question by any means), I still think Everton and even possibly West Ham are more likely to stay ahead of Liverpool come the end of the season and get the top 4, although Liverpool will probably end up ahead of the likes of Spurs. The pressure on the team at anfield will be their undoing.
