Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 23rd October 2016]

Arsenal utterly dominant for the first what 20ish minutes, since then Boro should have scored two really. They didn't look any threat at all for the first 20 but since then they've had a couple counter attacks and a couple other chances, easily the best chances of the game. Header just now, a shot, actually the freekick as well... they really should be ahead from the chances each side has had.

Adama was unlucky, but Negredo... he's been awful since his first game for us. He's getting a game purely on his name at the minute.

Stoke seem to be picking up after a truly awful start to the season, 2-0 up now. Hull continue to be terrible, Everton struggling. Leicester a goal up but I've seen Palace hit the bar and look threatening, not sure who looks most like scoring next in that one.

can anyone confirm that valdes is actually who he says he is ?

have severe doubts that he has never been a goalkeeper before this season

a twin brother maybe ? a total identity theft ? a goalkeeping android experiment ?

I think at his age, having 6 months out due to a bad injury is bad enough but following it up with almost no games at all for another 1.5 years is going to have an effect. He played something like 7-8 games in 2 years, at the highest level that is a major problem.

You'd expect him to not be near his peak at 34, nor if it was a 34 year old after 6 months with a ligament injury, but 2 years out total. I think he should get significantly better with more and more games but I'd be surprised if he got anywhere near his best ever again.
