3 match bans are only for violent conduct or serious foul play (2 footed challenges etc). Denying a goalscoring opportunity or 2 yellows is only a 1 match ban.

That's subjective. I was hugely unlikely to be overturned but it wasn't like that time when Utd appealed Ferdinand's ban for violent conduct even when they accepted he was guilty.

Don't think there was much in it but as soon as the referee thought it was a foul it had to be a red. Mourinho likely sharpening the knives for Clattenburg already.

One replay it looked mostly like he just slowed then leaned across him and dived, can't really tell if Terry pulled him. If that is what happened then yellow for Ronnie and nothing for Terry.
