Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 24th August 2015]

Why? Their performances last season left a lot to be desired - they seemed to always be nicking points late on and relied heavily on 1 player to score them the goals that got them the points they did. And they've seemingly made little to no improvements over the summer.

I was expecting the continued rise of Kane and particularly Eriksen, along with the improvements made to the back 4 to really help them kick on.

Also I figured that the extra time working under Poch (A manager I'm a big fan of) would leave them more settled and able to perform better.

Is this real? Someone please tell me this isn't real.

When deciding whether this is real or not, remember that Pearce once made a tactical decision to play a goalkeeper up front ahead of a recognised striker.

So, Callum Wilson is good enough for the Prem ;)

If he can carry the confidence and talent he demonstrated in the championship over, man I hope so..

Moves well, quick feet, looks for space, makes the right choices. Maybe it was only Bolton at home on a promotion high, but for me, not seen too many a performance like Wilson gave that night since a certain Mr Bergkamp was gracing the pitch.

Watch the extended highlights, pure class.

Do you like Poch because he is AVB mkii?

We are playing turgid dross football

We can't defend and our attacking consists of sideways passing in our own half before punting it to a fullback.

Mason and Bentaleb can't distribute. The attack is not cohesive and relies on Kane carving and scoring his own chances. Inverted wingers just meander around the corner of the box and the fullbacks don't overlap

I really loathe watching spurs at the moment. It just isn't entertaining watching hyper repressed and lethargic football
