Complete lack of attacking threat
Bringing on Valencia and Carrick
Rooney is pathetic, cripples every game he's in.
LVG is delusional, he's changed nothing the past 4 games. Same team, same dross. Just like at the end of last season, when he played the same 11 with Fellaini over and over again and we collapsed into 4th place.

That Sheffield Wednesday goal... unreal! Doubt there will be a better goal scored across the leagues today

It was glorious.

It was a shame that Wednesday slowed in the second half and played much less ambitious football. Leeds were much better in the second half, score draw was a fair result.

Horrific defending for the Leeds equaliser though.

Should have been 3 up in first 20 minutes, ideal game for Pedro rather than the achingly slow mata....but one thing LvG wanted (pace) and we supoosedly totally ignore the available player who has masses of it

Far too slow in he build up, and still think Herrera would be better option than Januzaj behind Rooney, and completely wasted at least one sub with Valencia ( which was utterly predictable)

I don't comment much here, but having stayed up to watch this (1:37am here), Smalling is awesome, the midfield looks strong and much more composed, Memphis looks great but Rooney... Rooney should not be playing in the current position, and really I don't think he should be playing at all...

How does Memphis look great? He's done nothing in three league matches. He looked good against Brugge, but that's not saying much.

I agree. We don't have a spark at the mo, need a playmaker. Sick of drawing. Dallas loves a nutmeg

If Hernandes scored that he'd have a good shout for starting ahead of Rooney. I'd also play Young instead of Mata just because it seems that the only guys willing to do any running are Young and Memphis

Yeah BPL is clearly a big step up but still early days.

Rooney is not good enough again, Januzaj is not good enough full stop. Mata is playing well is but doesn't have pace to break things down no matter how good his passing is or how industrious his workrate is. Memphis looks promising but his decision making is poor as one would expect for his age. LVG needs to splash the cash upfront no matter what it takes and then have the guts to play those people and not Rooney.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not yet saying he's a bad signing, but at the moment he's done nothing, and gone missing for big parts of all three matches.

He's still looked our brightest player going forward, his end product isn't always there (in fact it's been a bit dodgy), but you can see the potential is there.

On a side note, look at Man City, already better than us and they're spending £30m~, £50m, and maybe £60m odd on individual players. We're sat there on a pathetic £8m net spend. Booo.

United, in their current setup are simply impotent. Depay flatters to deceive, can beat a man but his end product is largely garbage.... might as well have saved £30 million and kept Nani.

You obviously have to give him a chance, but from what i've seen so far i've been less than impressed (didn't see the midweek game).

On the plus side Darmian looks a good signing, and the likes of Smalling have looked solid, I just don't see where the goals are coming from.

I loved Hoddles comment of 'United are missing a player like Ronaldo' ... what, you mean like every other team in the world, bar one?

Can anyone remember if Young looked injured in the first game, I feel like he took a knock maybe? He was for me their most influential attacking player in the first game and you've looked worse for two games without him. Brugge is different but they are also a way down on prem league level.

Rooney, I still can't believe any manager would actively want to play him. I think much like for Hodgson/England that Rooney starting is a decision made by money men who have sponsorship/commercial value to think of. Fans should have revolted over his last contract issue, instead they wanted him to stay and the club caved and gave him even more money. At some point money men will see him as such an obstacle to the team progressing that they'll bench him.

He's hurt the Utd offence for years, he scores some mostly easy goals but for 5 years has ruined attack after attack by dropping deep and believing he can pass well.

Utd can't be a top team till he's out of it, can the rest of them compensate enough for him for them to be a good enough team, who knows.
