Unless you're suggesting that it's ok for you to dive and try and win penalties but when we do it then the ref cost you the game?

Its too early for me to comment on Rodgers after a handful of games, I'm not one for knee jerking at a manager, I like to give them time. If we're going to be honest about anything, lets be honest that no team really wants to face Utd, City and Arsenal in the first 5 games of a season. But, as they say, you can only beat who is in front of you and thats something we havent done. We need a run now and soon, or things are going to be very bleak indeed.

Everyone accepted Suarez was touched pretty much bar you and probably was a penalty after they saw the replay

Why wouldn't you want to play Utd in the first 5 games of the season? We always start slow, it's probably the best time to play us.
Because it is hard to win when you have 12 vs 10 and one can change the game by himself.

Just glad to get out of that game with 3 points, it was rough to watch as a UTD fan. RVP 5 goals in 5 games. I fear for Rooney's future at UTD if RVP continues like this. Its play Rooney or sell him, he won't be happy benched.

unless liverpool go down i would keep rodgers on. Shouldn't even be up to debate. Apart from the 3 points utd can't take much from the game.
exactly. same with any cl team. i'd rather play them at the start of the season or after the christmas break than any other time.

I'm talking about Evans going in 2 footed, studs on on Shelvey - who went in 1 footed - and Shelvey getting sent off, and the biggest joke of a penalty you're going to see all season.
I didn't see us getting those decisions
The ref made 2 monumental mistakes that cost us the game. It was quite clear what I meant when I said the ref ruined the match for us. I didn't even criticise Utd or their players individually so I'm not sure what you're talking about to be honest.

Um, not quite Purdy.
Its not an individual team, I wouldnt mind playing one of the top 4 in the first 5 games, its the cumulative effect that I wouldnt want, 3 of the top 4 in the first 5 games of the season is something I wouldnt want because I would be wanting to get up a head of steam at the start of the season and playing 3 of the top 4 immediately I think doesnt help to get a head of steam (generally speaking..unless of course you win all of them and then its a very good effect, but given a choice out of the box, I wouldnt choose 3 of the 4 immediately)

You had problems in front of goal all last season though. Admittedly you've had a tough run of fixtures to start but I see this having a hangover effect on your next run of games.

I'm going to leave the Shelvey incident as I've explained it several times.
Did you see Johnson diving in the box from a corner early on? or against Rafael down the right? Not to mention Suarez diving against Evans. If your players are diving you have absolutely no right to complain about us getting a penalty from diving. Just as if you'd got a penalty in the last minute I wouldn't have had any right to complain if it was a dive.

The red could be given on any other day, silly, but that's how it is.
The pen was a shocker tbh, however there was only one team that was going to win going into the last 20 mins.
It's early days anyway...
