Quite a poor game tbh. United looked awful. Red card was harsh. I can't believe that there are people saying that they both should have been sent off:eek:
I think it's more a case of red for both or red for neither.

Similar happened in the Merseyside derby a few years ago. Two players dived in with two feet, Fellani got away with it but the Greek didn't.

Man City v Arsenal teams:

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Javi Garcia, Toure, Silva, Sinclair, Aguero, Dzeko.

Subs: Pantilimon, Kolarov, Rodwell, Barry, Nastasic, Tevez, Balotelli.

Arsenal: Mannone, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Ramsey, Diaby, Arteta, Cazorla, Gervinho, Podolski.

Subs: Martinez, Andre Santos, Giroud, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Djourou, Coquelin.

Jonjo Shelvey (born 27 February 1992) Is a full time impressionist of Voldemort and plays for relegation candidates Liverpool. Shelvey got sent off against Man United for practising the AVARDACADAVRA spell on Mark Halsey's sister, who incidentally is the father of 12 of Raheem Sterlings Children.

Did laugh :(

But you tried to cheat the ref several times, just because you did it badly you're going to moan? That is a new level Baz, I expected better from you.

How can you fail to understand something so simple?

I've not criticised Utd players for cheating, I've criticised the referee for making 2 very big mistakes today and those 2 mistakes influencing the outcome of the game.

If the ref has a **** game I can say that the ref had a **** game. Had I criticised Utd players of cheating/diving and Liverpool players done the same, then you can moan abut what I'm saying.

This is exactly what is so distasteful about Liverpool fans. There was one debateable penalty (I think the shove warranted the pen) and suddenly Liverpool were playing against 12 men.

No, just no. The ref made decisions impartially. It was a red and looked a pen; the ref didn't give nothing to Liverpool and everything to Manutd.

Liverpool played well but the red was sheer stupidity and why Johnson was anywhere near Valencia when Valencia had got to a dead end I will never know.

Scholes timed a two footed tackle to perfection in the box and RVP rode his luck with his challenge but the gamble on both those occasions paid off because they got the ball and not the man and they weren't dangerous tackles.

I'm so bored of hearing the complaints and bitter crowd at Anfield it is disgusting and the fact that Suarez has not been burnt out of English football even more so.

1 point off top despite being well under par so far this season is good, we normally have to claw back a bigger margin when we start to click later in the season.

Playing slaphead as a striker again if Sky Sports are right. Kinda lulzy given he's doing exactly what Walcott wanted to do before he tried flaunting himself about in the summer.

Liverpool really need a striker - someone who can actually finish and not just dribble the ball around with no end product like Suarez. If they had a good one they would probably have won or at least scored earlier and forced us to put some effort in.

He's got an end product but it's usually creating chances for others rather than scoring himself.
