Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 25th November 2014]

So Sturridge and Sterling offered nothing? Gerrard top assister in the league also.

What's the S&S app:gs compared to suarez? Gerrard is awesome but like you said, he's an assister. Where is the world class finisher? It's not Sturridge or Sterling. Can't help but feel Liverpool are like spurs. They fancy themselves as a "big" team, but realistically they're no where near.

this runs deeper imo. i reckon poch is on the brink of losing the dressing room.

hull are making us look so below par.

I think Poch will get until Feb for us to start looking better otherwise he will be gone at season end. If we drop into the relegation zone before then...

So if things continue, he is here for the season.

Seems to be a recurring theme with every Spurs manager? Get shot of the players and not the gaffer maybe.

i would. i'd clear the lot out bar lloris and start from scratch. part of me wants us to do a man city and get taken over by a billionaire and i hate that in football but screw it, i want results and world class talent, not this manure.

the players and culture play a part in the problems. it can't be 15 managers in what 13 years or something ridiculous that are all wrong.

i understand levy running a tight ship but the sacking culture is bizarre.

Other than in the past 2 seasons that culture has worked. We have gone from aiming for top 10, to aiming for top 6, to aiming for top 4.

We are one of the most improved clubs; if you look at the personnel we have now compared to what we had when ENIC came in, it is a stark improvement.

Aside from sugar-daddies disrupting things, there are no other clubs who have done as well as Spurs at trying to break into the top 4 over the past 13 years or so.

awful. it's my birthday tomorrow and i remember last year we got walloped by city. i also remember when we put 9 past wigan about 6 yrs ago on the same date. how have we gone so drastically mediocre and poor to watch :(

just seen this tweet from Sam Wallace: Never seen Brendan Rodgers as downhearted as he was post-match. 'I'm not so arrogant to believe I will be in a job through anything'

Good, hopefully he realises something major needs to happen, our downturn started with Chelsea followed by Palace, hopefully it ends it and Brendan gets some balls

If not its a waste of a season and CL place

we've made 4 great signings in that time imo berbatov, bale, modric, lloris. we've also had some decent squad players who we decided weren't good enough and binned them. i look at this spurs team now and it's baffling.

I don't think Poch or AVB are leaders.

The players' mentality is pretty weak. We need a manager with a really strong personality to reinstate some pride and belief.

The only manager who we could possibly get and replace poch is FdB and im not sure if he is any different personality wise.

The ideal candidate would be Klopp but he is out of our league.

Edit- it also resonates with me that the players with any personality were shipped out over summer; sandro, dawson and holtby.

i agree. players such as sandro, dawson and holtby are crucial to a club. even if they're not going to set a game on fire, their attitude will flow through a teams performance. kane has elements of that but he's not vocal enough. other players look like they couldn't give a stuff.
