Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 26th February 2020]

Definitely doesn't look intentional to me, the way he instantly reach out to check he's ok. Looks to me like he's just trying to shield the ball and Azpi slides in and takes it away as he's doing it.

His intent is irrelevant but look at the way he stamps...not places his foot down. He then doesnt make any attempt to bring it back up either.

It's finally happened. Burnley have a penalty appeal, not given, Bournemouth go down the other end and score only for VAR to give the penalty to Burnley.

That should be a penalty no? He has blocked that with his arms up and it was going for goal. If you can't face the ball like that then turn your back. That should be a penalty.

If Leicester had made more of that they might have got a proper look.

Don’t like that at all from Ederson, he’s done similar previously too.

The ball’s gone and he’s following through?

The number of keepers who come out with their studs showing or their knee leading is ridiculous. No idea how they get away with it

Sounds like Leicester should have had 2 penalties this half.

Massive bug bear of mine that. As is when a striker takes a shot and are immediately taken out.

City are a delightfully scummy team a lot of the time. Professional fouls, going down in a stiff breeze and play acting at every opportunity. Guardiola has certainly brought that aspect of Spanish football with him.

Probably going over but that should cancel out the earlier one.

Ahh, good old VAR.

Handball, not a penalty. Also, handball, penalty.
