Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [21st - 26th October 2011]

Just saw the goals, Arshavin's was poor defending as they stood off him as he went into the box, but he pulled the shot off very quickly and it had a good angle on it. Park's goal involved him getting back onside quickly as Arshavin was charging forward then hitting the accelerator again so he ended up being unmarked coming into the box and hit a nice curler into the top corner.

9th year we've got this far, can't fault the consistency... just an obvious shame they haven't gone on to win it in forever, two finals in recent memory. Perhaps this year they can make up for bottling it so badly against Brum, lol.

Haha. Well, I don't think Barca will win the CL this year, looking pretty average (for 'the best team EVAR!!!1') the last few weeks. Be just our luck we'll top the group for once and they'll finish 2nd or something and we'll end up playing them. :( At least with the league if we can string a few more wins we'll be back up around the top 5 pretty quickly. Only plus for the Chelsea game is for once Drogba won't be scoring against us.

Not convinced we'll get a win against Stoke. I may be pleasantly surprised though.
 
Don't think we will win, doubt Lee Probert will help either team but **** it up somewhere, was shocking against Bolton.

He also needs to learn how to stand straight.

Edit: Suarez really needs to find those shooting boots again, Carroll started brightly.

I hate Caragher, he just did a red card flying off the ground tackle, made contact, then grabbed the ball clear as day while sliding and ran off with the ball, then when the foul is given he has the freaking cheek to actually go up and yell at the linesman. He at best, really did 3 yellow card things in a row there, terrible tackle, hand ball and getting too mouthy with the linesman.
