Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22nd - 28th December 2017]

The only time 'legendary year' was noticed was when Messi scored 86 one, I never knew Shearer held the English record until a week or so ago.

Seriously, it shows how well Kane is doing but calendar year stats are stupid. I never knew or remember it reported that RVP was getting close to it and wouldn't care. The entire point of over a season is it's comparable from one year to the next in general in that you'll play each team, relegation zone or champions twice, once home and once away. With calendar year you get easier and harder years, in which say in 16/17 say the toughest games with the least chance of scoring, top 4 away say, come in the first half of the season, and in 17/18 they come in the second half, meaning in 2017 you have a higher number of home games and minimised difficult games.

It's why calendar year never mattered till some idiots felt like they could make money by posting every single stat possible on twitter during/after every game all week long.
