Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [23 - 25th February 2013]

yeh he is a tad too enthusiastic, which is great but he does burn out. not sure he is actually a 90 minute player right now but is very good from either the ko or an early second half entrant to take advantage of a tiring cb.

Need to find a gif for the foul for that free kick, adamant it was a push on Clyne in the first place and the ref got it categorically wrong :(

He was offside, but ran back onside, and presumably the linesman thought Jonas got a flick to create another passage of play. And as he rightly pointed out he had 2 goals disallowed last week when he was onside, and this is football, decisions are rarely accurate.

Anyway, takes nothing away from what was a spectacular goal.

One of my friends said he was offside but I can't tell from any of the GIFS, anyone know?

He was offside, ran back on and the lines man assumed someone touched it meaning he was in a different phase of play. Good hit though.

Shouldn't have been their ball in the first place but apparently football balances it self out in the long run...

Anyone watching MOTD2? Apparently Toure's deflected goal was the best goal the commentator has seen this season :o

Poor Rafa though, he's had his goal of the month taken away by Cisse

Regardless if it was deflected it was absolutely horrendous defending and to be honest wasn't that amazing of a finish.

That Rafael goal reminds me of the way huddlestone hits a ball, just seems to prod the ball and it flies off at 400 mph.

I was behind the goal at Spurs Vs Bolton 2 years ago when Huddlestone scored, the technique is just insane, next to no back lift and it flew like a rocket!
