You were the better team first half just mistakes cost you. Even when losing you've knocked it around better than city. Can't blame Rodgers for school boy defending.

We've played good football in spells without looking very secure at the back or threatening in attack. We're not going to beat the likes of City or Chelsea playing like that but we'll still beat most teams so it's not something I'm too worried about. It just won't bring us the league title unfortunately.

I'm sure they were aiming, but that's different to getting and Manu did well enough winning titles without beating their rivals home and away. Liverpool have had consistency against teams outside of the top 4 which they never used to have.

That is of course true, i was stating in terms of their squad of players, they've got players they've just bought unable to play and others that it's their first or first couple of games, makes it a little more difficult.

No doubt they deserved to lose, I'm only saying, i'd expect a better push from Liverpool if for say this game was in November and they had all their options bedded in and available.
