Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [23rd February - 1st March 2018]

Wouldn't bother turning up in this weather to watch another crap performance.

No subs, no tactical changes, even wenger shouldn't have bothered turning up. City have the best squad in the league and even they're rotating players.

I think one more season of Arsenal will see them super-screwed. The terminal decline in achievement along with the decline in squad quality will haunt them for years to come. The mentality of competing has left that club

Only thing you can say is it's not a total hiding to nothing job now like taking over from Fergie was at United. They've slumped to such an extent now that I don't think it would take a lot to turn it around for the fans!

First the positives: Going forward we were pretty good, on another night we could easily have scored 2 or 3.

I like Kolasinac and think he'll improve with a bit more playing time in the league

The negatives are with our defence and midfield. Xhaka is a liability, Mustafi simply isn't good enough and both Koscielny and Cech are starting to show their age.

We need a major rebuilding job at the back over the summer, preferably under a new manager

9 weeks into the year, 7 defeats already.

It's going to be a very very long season.

Chelsea style downing of tools from the players and I can't blame them.

The problem is that Arsenal's squad isn't even that great any more, so it's going to take more than a new manager to get them any further up the league in my opinion. Compare Arsenal player-for-player with United, City, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool and there are few, if any, Arsenal players that would get in those teams. I think that a new manager might give them new impetus and more aggression and drive, but it's going to take several transfer windows and some major investment to fix the team.

Agree with Carragher here. Arsenal are just... nothing. Totally predictable, average, and not great.

They need to make an announcement regarding Wenger. Really, it has nothing to do with the result tonight either way.
