Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [24th - 28th October 2014]

Welbeck is complete pony, Sunderland pushing forward, we've in the past couple minutes been 2 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3 and each time the ball got to Welbeck, he slowed it down, let them get defenders back then fluffed the final pass. One of them he wasn't helped by an awful pass by Ox who slowed it down but Welbeck then decided to slow it even further.

He has zero quality in the final third in picking out a good pass or really doing anything useful.

FFS, again, Welbeck holding it up in our half rather than passing down the wing, whoever he passed to behind him bashed it forward finally for Cazorla... who did nothign with it, didn't pass in Bellarin till too late, then Bellarin's ball was crap anyway.

Just dire, Arsenal on the counter attack is embarrassing, thing is that is what our success was built on a decade ago, we were absolutely devastating in the situations we've gotten into today, but not only haven't we scored, we haven't even got to the point of shooting we've been so bad.

2 on 1 again and it ends up a woeful cross to the keeper.

Jesus, what has happened to cazorla. He was never a world beater but he has been absolutely shocking this season. I don't think he has connected well with a shot all season. Sanchez hero.

arrrggghhhhh. Ramsey, get it caught in his feet when one on one, refuses to make the easy pass when someone bombed down the right, eventually falls to Caz who again can't keep it his shot under 20ft high.

Another monumental defensive error leading to a second. Arsenal have been pathetic, Sunderland defensively were even more pathetic.

Mannone/Brown, no idea how they are in the starting 11, woeful.

8 in 9 for Sanchez - in the right place to nick that goal at least. Also lol@bringing Walcott all the way up t'North if you're not even going to play him. What was the point of that?

He's been dire at shooting since he joined, he's also absolutely terrible wide. But I think most of his crapness comes from Wenger. When people play poorly and aren't dropped, when losses are accepted and mistakes forgiven why would a player try harder or do better. Cazorla has been the worst player we've had this year, he's been abysmal yet others behind him in the pecking order aren't getting a chance, wenger is starting him regardless... it's ridiculous.

It's rare a player looks embarrassed of a goal, even if it is a gift. Sanchez looked embarrassed that we only won through those mistakes. His face/reaction when Gibbs scored the equaliser on Wednesday and ran off to celebrate was again one of embarrassment. He shook his head in disbelief that he was celebrating an equaliser against a crap team after a dire performance. 99% of players in that situation would score, run and pick the ball up and urge everyone to run back to the half way line to go for the winner, Gibbs ran off and dropped to his knee's celebrating a goal with the game still needing to be won.

Well although Saints deserved the 3 points but the longer the game went on the more I was certain stoke would nick a goal.I Can relax now :-)

Berahino is too good for West Brom but not good enough for one of the clubs that would likely be able to afford him. Tough situation to be in, continue playing for a bottom half team or sit on the bench for one of the big boys.
