Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [24th - 29th November 2017]

Rooney, with what BT Sport are on the verge of calling the best goal in premier league history.

Commentary just turned into an orgasm lol

Am I watching the same game as the commentators. That isn't going to be anywhere near goal of the season let alone best goal of the PL era.

Joe Hart is such a **** keeper.

lol, Hart, I mean, he had the chance to put that ball anywhere and he decides playing it into midfield is the best option. Any half decent keeper that far out of goal would immediately kick that out of play, Hart just sets up Rooney.

Wayne Rooney’s hat-trick tonight came 2,272 days after his last (10 September 2011) – the longest gap between two hat-tricks by a player in Premier League history.

breaking records lol

That is legit one of the best goals in premier league history from Rooney. The replay from behind the goal, the way he hit it. Wow.

It's a long ball, with a completely open final third of the pitch with a simple ball rolling along the ground towards him. It's about as easy as a long range goal could possibly be and long range doesn't mean uber difficult, they are rare only because there is rarely situations with the goalkeeper and defence completely awol.

It's legit no where in the top 100 best goals in prem league history.

It really isn't. Open goal, ball rolling to him nicely and he just smacks it at the goal. A professional footballer should be able to hit a ball into the goal from the halfway line reasonably consistently when there is no keeper or defenders in the way. It was a good goal but not much more.
