Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [24th - 29th November 2017]

They'd just had a disallowed goal anyway, so the 5 minutes added time had been interrupted regardless.

MAN CITY 1-1 SOUTHAMPTON
90+4: GOAL DISALLOWED! Ciy cross from the right-hand byline and Forster spills the ball, with Sterling scoring from the rebound, but it was clearly a foul on the 'keeper.

It's irritating to concede but by no stretch was it 'after the added time', as that disallowed goal would have wasted a good 30 seconds or so.

Yeah if anything I've often been annoyed in the past that not enough time is added on at the end of a game. The reason managers make subs right at the end of a game is partly to break up the flow of the game but also because they know that often the ref won't add on an extra 30 seconds for a substitution. I can't remember the games now but there were several last season where a team should have got about 5 or 6 minutes of injury time and only ended up with 3 or 4. Sure, that might ultimately make no difference but they could score in that additional time they should have had.
