Missing out on Bale and Parker? Someone's going to flip
mind you think of those.......28? run games for Spurs where Bale was on the losing side (mostly - if not all - where he was playing as a full back instead of a winger)
Parker, mmm a bit meh , I mean he isnt a Scholes, Gerrard or Lampard for example, good addition to Spurs squad for the money but imo if they get (and keep) CL places for the next few years, Im unconvinced Parker will keep his 1st XI place

You're right, he's not past his best.
he's more important to spurs than any of them, you obviously haven't watched many spurs games
as for wenger missing out on bale, he's said in the past he had ronaldo training with him before he went for united. i've no reason to disbelieve him.
redknapp has done an awful lot to get bale where he is now, there's no saying he'd be the player he is now without redknapp.
I very much doubt he is more important than Modric (which is the only one you can compare to)
Never said there was a reason to doubt Wenger on this
Dont forget SAF was trying to convince Bale he should be a winger with Utd when he was still at Southampton, I understood from articles at that time that Bale chose Spurs BECAUSE he wanted to remain as a full back....
Parker may not be past his best, but his best is also nowhere near the quality of the other three at their best either (and I cant see him getting anywhere near either, considering how old he is already (ie he wont suddenly improve drastically imo)

you didn't mention modric and he's just as important as modric
bale is number 3, he may very well end up at left back but i don't see why he'd want to be a left back now? maybe when his pace drops off but he wont be at spurs by then anyway

This is a huge one for Chelsea, a loss would be an absolute disaster and it could be the end of AVB...
last time I checked Modric was the only one in the Spurs team....
I never said bale would move back to a full back position - it is HIGHLY unlikely he would want to now
I (clearly) said, that when Bale was still playing Left back for Southampton, SAF wanted to bring him to Utd as a winger, Bale turned down the offer and went to Spurs instead because they wanted him (at that time) as a left back.
Considering SAF is well known for developing kids , I dont think you can doubt he would have done any less of an outstanding job on Bale's abilities as ' Arry has done
The end is coming for AVB, its just a matter of when

As much as I want to see Chelsea crumble, I'd rather see Bolton **** off back to the Championship. Such a horrible side.
