Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 27th Feb 2012]

That's all fair enough, it's very clear though that Man Utd fans do take exception to what he says....

Without wanting to repeat myself, they should ignore him then.

There's a fine line between banter and trolling and everyone's tolerance is different. Rather than complain or have big debates over what he says, it would be so much easier to ignore him.

Indeed. Like any circumstance, if you have an issue with anything, RTM, ignore, then let mods sort stuff.

In this particular case though, the rules can be abused without being broken in order to achieve a similar outcome.

As for ignoring him, I have no doubt that if everyone stopped replying to his obvious bait that he would stop posting, but that would be difficult.

Indeed, very unexpected as well. I don't think most people could see Arsenal winning that one.

I don't the Spurs team did either. There's a slim line between being competitively and over confident. Not taking anything away from Arsenal because they were much the better side on the day but Spurs didn't help themselves sitting back, assuming a defensive position.

Looking back, after being all bit knocked out of 2 cup competitions inside a week, it's not surprising the that Arsenal came out with all guns firing. Their pace was no match for a side that often like to take control, possession and kill the ball off. Arsenal didn't allow that to happen.

Of course I'm gutted but it's no more than Spurs deserved for complacency.

I've said this before, 3rd place isn't concluded by any means and is up for grabs.. We have both ManU and Chelsea to play.. 6 points lost there and it's all very tight.

Agree 100% been worried about 3rd place for a while now.All this title talk is rubbish IMO.

I'd be happy with 3rd after yesterdays performance, any reason why lennon wasn't played at some point?

Also GIF is superb!

Feels good to see a Trophy lifted again  Nervy game, with the penalties being the calmest part for me, glad we didnt do an Arsenal:p Well played Cardiff.

Watched the game on the beeb so didn't see the Carra interview. Anyone fill me in? Why is it the BBC sprts team/interviewers always get a decent response but the **** at Sky dont?

Harry Redknapp......Now the man may be a great motivator and get the best out of certain players, However he has the tactical gift of a house brick.

Spurs have played their best football in a 4-4-2 with speedy wingers....running down the wings.
All my life I have seen only 2 good left sided wingers at spurs, Ginola and Bale, So now that we have Bale why on earth play him in the "free role" that is crap? Surely that is VDVs area?
Lennon must have had it off with Sandra behind Harrys back to not get on the pitch it was an absolute farce. The subs that where made where crazy.

I am not taking anything away from Arsenal, it was a great come back, A painful come back. I can take losing, even to Arsenal, but the manner of that defeat was horrible, Will our season start to crumble now? As a few of us have predicted or is Redknapp that good a manager and will he push us on?

Im not sure what will happen.

This.

I have never thought 'arry was a great manager but the media want him for England so he will probably end up with the job. Saying that it might be a good style for tournament play but at the top of the PL when he needs to mix things up he struggles.

i don't think we should've started 4-4-2 i'd have dropped saha (i know he scored but that doesn't matter now) and had sandro helping parker and modric who were massively over run and kept bale on the LEFT where he should be, with a licence to run through the middle if it's a sound option.

kranjcar should never have started, lennon should've and keep him on the RIGHT none of this swapping with bale nonsense.

VDV is a luxury player, rarely up for a fight, certainly wasn't what we needed yesterday.
