Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 29th April 2015]

Like **** it is. Why not push more men forward and bring on Borini for someone other than Balotelli? No plan B and happy not to lose.

The sub was wrong but there was no issue with our intent to go for the win. At times, even in the first half, Can was playing in midfield and we were happy leaving just 2 men back.

In terms of the shape of the side and general performance I didn't think we done too much wrong. WBA were just well drilled at the back and right now we're desperately struggling for goals.

If we can get by with only playing two at the back why not play two up top? Lambert was bought for this exact type opponent yet hasn't had a look in. Stick him up top with Borini or Balotelli for half an hour at the very least and pump balls in to the box rather than play the exact same style of football with different players.

Lambert wasn't on the bench but I agree that the Borini/Balotelli sub was puzzling. Without Lambert, Balotelli was at least giving us some physical presence up top and we were getting it into him quite well. Once he went off we had no focal point and it was down to Coutinho or Sterling producing a bit of magic.

That's a pretty simplistic view

Shouldn't be bringing on Borini at all

Sterling being wasted outside is the biggest problem in our rather crap team.

Gerrard sucks, Henderson sucked today and has done recently, Ibe is meh, Sterling is meh at best and Coutinho is pretty turd too when the options for him are a bunch of static clowns. Lovren was about the only decent thing today, actually Mignolet too

Positionally we're a mess but it's hard to disagree with Mignolet and Lovren being the best players today. In Fact, it's hard to argue with Mignolet being our stand out player ever since he came back in to the team.
