Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [25th - 29th September 2015]

As Neville said - some start, but too early to say some player... or words to that effect. It's gone as good as you could've hoped so far, for sure.

It is too early to say but he doesn't just look like a goalscorer, his all round game looks top quality.

What a day for the missus to make me go shopping.

Absolutely over the moon about the spurs result. Chance for us to go top of the table at united and it looks like we'll be able to do just that!

How...

Wait, the Sherwood tactic of starting ****, lulling the opposition in to a false sense of security and then winning it in the second half, is not a real thing! C'mon Liverpool!

In all seriousness, if Liverpool throw this away I would expect Rodgers to be sacked at the final whistle :p.

FFS Memphis

Instead of passing back to Martial, tries to get his second..

Yup, tbh in that particular position shooting wasn't insane, though for such a good performance he maybe should have been thinking about passing it anyway.

Martial has been stonking though, he's doing so much right, albeit against a crap team. Setting up that chance the strength to push the defender away and his first touch was taking it towards and turning towards goal, making the right pass and bursting forwards to be in a position to finish it.

He honestly looks very very good. For 19 he's already amazing.

Smalling has been absolutely ace again. What has he been eating this season.

Should be 3-0

Honestly Smalling has always looked good, his issue is a run of games and fitness. He always looked way way better than Jones but had worse injury problems.
