I hope I'm wrong but I can't see teams giving Coutinho as much time and space as he's been getting more often than not since we signed him.

Chelsea are the only side that have completely shut him out - every other game he's at least created something, even if he has faded towards the end of games.

Can I apologise for the Sheffield Wednesday performance? Dave Jones the tactical pigmy.

I can't say I am pleased with the way Wednesday have completely failed to capitalise towards the end of the season and it is going to be a really tight finish.

I hope we can get something from the Middlesborough game, pleased to be playing it at home.

:p

Got all decisions right to be fair to him though. I know I wouldn't want to hand out 3 reds on my league debut :p.

I didn't like the way the BBC were making the cards in to talking points, surely when a referee has got a decision spot on, it fails to be a talking point really.

Anyway, three blatant red cards, terrible tackle by Fox at the end, Fox really is a very poor player.

They might well give him less space but he should be fitter, sharper and generally have better fitness next season, more time to develop and familiarise himself with the team dynamic means that he might just be able to create or have the team make space for him to operate in, anyway, there is always the 'Barcelona effect' where in if a team concentrates on shutting out one or two players if gives other good players in the side space and time to flourish, like when teams played against Barcelona of a few seasons back and put all their effort in to stopping Messi, just for one of the other numerous fantastic players to do something :).

Also; Wolves are looking more and more like a team that are down, I thought and said that sacking 'big' Mick was a huge mistake and look where it as taken the club.

Congratulations to Donny! What an end to a game .

Incredible scenes at Brentford.

As Clem mentioned, we lost out under the exact same circumstances 11 years ago against Reading. The fans were praying for something to happen to help us forget about the Reading game. The football gods obviously have a sense of humour... We can now move on from Reading because something even more unbelievable and outrageous happened today! Gotta hand it to the gods though... A 94th minute penalty miss by a Fulham player is certainly rubbing it in

I could beat Middlesbrough on my own atm!:p

Saying that, Wednesday were a little underwhelming today, Peterborough no pushovers though of course, beaten some big teams lately.

Barnsley and Peterborough both have tough final games as well, Barnsley away at Huddersfield who still need to win, and Peterborough travelling to Palace, who aren't guaranteed a play-off place yet.

I'm a newcastle fan and got to say we deserve to be relegated. Well the fans don't, but they never do (for any club) but the owner for not capitalising on last years great finish with top quality players, the players for giving up too easily, for lazy performances and especially the manager for his gutless, spineless, clueless selections, tactics and decisions and for the cowardly fraudulent way he sells himself in front of a camera. them ****ers, they deserve relegation, and they'll probably get exactly what they deserve before ****ing off elsewhere leaving the fans once again to pick up the pieces and deal with the mess they leave behind.

Football can go take a run and jump, so dejected by the whole thing, it's never any fun, it's always a chore.

If it gets rid of mike Ashley maybe it's worth it... The whole just be happy to stay in the prem league has backfired investment to late........half a season with perch Williamson etc have rubbed off on the the other players. Cabaye has been useless 70% of the season

Didn't he create a few chances against Chelsea despite not having the best game?

Anyway, looking like he could be some player for us next season, would like to see him play in the '10' role more often.

West Ham (Away)
QPR (Away)
Arsenal (Home)

I can honestly only see us getting anything from QPR, and even then we will be lucky...

Lets hops Sunderland do us a favour

Just watched that West Ham goal, why has the commentator said 'an uncharacteristic error from Hart'? That's just a massive lie this season.

Nicely done Wigan, thanks for putting the brakes on Spurs and giving them a draw:p. Means we have to get something from today as unlikely as it may seem...can only hope that Fergie gives us a point or 3 after the guard of honour we will be giving RVP and Utd. But i suppose we have to keep up with traditions and all that jazz.

Fingers crossed we get something out of today, id be happy with a draw at least.

Giroud is out due to suspension so im hoping Pod starts either on the left or through the middle but i have a feeling that Wenger might use him as a sub and put our utterly awesome Gervinho in the starting lineup :(.

Going to be a long tough afternoon i imagine.

Glad this season is over - last day survival thanks to Midson's penalty. Hopefully Ardley will push Wimbledon on next season to be a decent league two side. Our form in the second half of the season has been around 10th so I hope for a top 10 finish next season, though just avoiding a relegation fight would probably be acceptable for a season!

That Doncaster goal against Brentford is crazy.

That Coutinho looks class, Newcastle gave him all the time in the world but technically he looks great. He reminds me of Aimar..

What a sleeper of a signing, 8mil.

You know full well errors from Hart are brushed under the carpet like they never happened, the English journo's love him

Gooooooaaaallllllll!! Ormerod has scored for Wrexham!

1-3 on aggregate and the flares have been lit! Haha
