Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [26th February - 3rd March 2016]

I don't understand that argument at all. It's just pure arrogance to think a title should be a given, especially when you have so many good teams. Arsenal had the chance to go 3 points behind tonight but the atmosphere was terrible. Moments like this you need your 12th man, it was just non existent though, complete garbage.

It's not that we demand a title, it's that the reason we aren't winning the title this year are basic problems that have been problems within the team for the past 6-7 years. Had we fixed any of the glaring problems we probably would walk the league this year. It's that Wenger has point blank refused to fix any of Arsenal's problems for so long that even when every one of our main rivals is ****.... we still make a hash of it.

Flamini and Arteta shouldn't be employed by Arsenal and shouldn't have been for 2 years. Both should have been replaced because they desperately needed to be replaced. Rosicky should have been shown the door 4 years ago, Diaby should have been shown the door 6 years ago, Walcott should have been shown the door 5-6 years ago, Ox should not have been bought, neither should Welbeck. If those players were gone or not brought and the players needed were bought in instead Arsenal would be a significantly better and stronger side.

Most importantly Wenger should have gone 5 years go. Arsenal fans have been kicked over and over with Wenger's arrogance for the best part of a decade... tonight is just A.Nother massive kick in the balls.

Get that senile old **** out of my club now

I cant bear to look at the cretins face any more.

Come on now.. You're only 6 points behind us with 10 games left. Honestly...I know bipolar tendencies are part of the average footy fans psyche but the Gunners take it to a whole new level.

I thought they had won the title when they beat us 2-1?

Some deluded Tottenham said on sky sports news HQ before the game tonight " we have a great chance of winning the league, I mean Leicester are no-body's and Arsenal are far behind us"

Nice one pal!!! :D:D:D:D:D

I saw that but thought he was smirking when he said it :)

I also lol'd when Nigel Winterburn said something along the lines of "teams won't need anywhere near 40 points to stay up....somewhere around 38 will be fine".

I get the impression that if you only needed 60pts to win the league Arsenal would creep in there with 58pts. They just cannot get over the finish line when it comes to the league now.

Looking at the "as it stands table" once again with Man City and United level on points.

It was only a 2-3 weeks ago that many considered City as the favorites.

Compounds the belief that this is the most unpredictable premiership season.

Nuts.

Back to our previous level of performance, awful first half, surge of energy in the second half, then somehow score a winner in spite of everything. Hm.

City well beaten in all areas by us tonight, As few of us said and pundits alike, Benteke came on and immediately looked isolated and lost thats the only bad part of the match really.

Firminho had his swagger back, Lallana had a great game he just needs to make this consistent and he would dramatically improve us over all.

Origi made some excellent runs shame he didnt get on score sheet himself but the exchanges and runs helped Firminho / Lallana
