Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [27th - 28th August 2011]

Dominant performance by Liverpool....definitely a team to look out for.

Pretty impressed by them today...Suarez was unlucky a few times..should have bagged a couple at least.

Cahill sign for Arsenal kthxbye:p

Can't see Carroll getting a game unless he improves drastically. Wasn't he god awful in midweek as well? People saying that he isn't fit but hasn't he had a full pre season like everyone else?

He has but i dont think its his fitness just his confidence im not going to right him off like allot of people are doing already (i dont mean you are btw)

FT 3-1 Awesome game by us faultless up untill Carra defense mistake to give them a goal but meh 3pts in the bag so sorted :D

All of the team played well today MOTM tie for me between Lucas/Suarez. Now bring on stoke!

Very impressed with the new boys today. Good goal from Hendersons but his passing and delivery in to the box was what impressed me. Downings ran Bolton ragged at times, Adams played very well, although he gives the ball away far too easily, and Enriques looked solid at the back and excellent going forward again. Looks like we've finally solved our left sided problem.

Good performance, good win.

Edit: Lucas was immense again today. Fast becoming an undroppable player and dare I say the best DM in the league.

Excellent performanc. Another day and we could have scored 7 or 8; the passing and movement was excellent and Bolton couldn't handle it at all.

Despite Ray Wilkins saying he had an excellent game, the ref was ****ing terrible. Suarez should have had 2 pens and how on earth he's not given the back pass, I will never know

Only downside was the mistake from Carra at the end. For once he's tried to take a touch when he should have just put his foot through it. Tbf to him, he did then make a good tackle and was unlucky to tee up Klasnic.

edit: Suarez's pass to Downing in the first half was incredible
Thats pretty much what i was thinking. Theres no doubt Bolton have been absolutely hopeless but nevertheless Liverpool have dispatched them with an ease that shows they will be a much better team this season.

Still expecting Dalglish to be sacked by Christmas?

Ruddy irritating frankly, Liverpool are the new "old but not THAT old" Arsenal, all out attack, counter attacking quickly and at pace, USEFUL passing around the box creating chances and probably two very high quality passers of the ball with great vision in Adam/Suarez. Someone upfront who can get the ball and play it very well to someone on the wing then turn and run at goal is invaluable.

Arsenal look like the new......... I dunno old Bolton, 4-5-1, throwing on defensive players to hold on for draws, rubbish attack, worsening passing, rubbish wingers, lone striker with zero support who looks like an idiot when asked to win games on his own :(

LOL Wilkins saying the ref had a good game:p....methinks maybe thats why he was dumped from Chelsea:p

For the record i thought the ref was bloody useless and inept...made some poor calls

Well I'm just home and karma has told me a. to read and b. to not gamble.

We lost 3-2 to Leicester who did not in the slightest deserve to win :( oh well up the football league we go anyway :)

Only one penalty really the foot grab, and theres no way the ref could have seen that, the Robinson one wasn't a penalty, neither was the handball just outside the box, he got 99% of things spot on and its only really that backpass he got wrong, and I couldn't really tell from the replay but Suarez might have had the barest of touches before keeper handles it, had he not though he was ready to pick that up and no idea why.

Their keeper has had two awful games in a row, and Zach Knight looking exactly like the player I always thought he was, woeful.

The Robinson one was a pen, he slid straight through the back of Suarez and the backpass was as clear as day.

He also failed to book Reo Coker despite making 3 challenges that were worth a booking in their own right within the first 25 minutes.

I'd agree with that. But replays confirmed a definite pass back, Jussi touched it before Suarez.

But tbh, referee's are going to hate Suarez, he does himself no favours.
