Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [27th - 28th August 2011]

If he had left the deffo werent staying up.

Id repeat the question.

Nobody knows what may or may not have happened. Had they took the ~£8m on offer they could have bought a couple of players they may have stayed up, who knows.

The point is that they kept him and still went down. In Bolton's position if they keep Cahill and still go down then they're an extra £x (however much they could sell Cahill for now) out of pocket on top of the money they'll lose from getting relegated.

Obviously you will take into account the importance he has on the side but you can't put relegation or staying up simply down to keeping Cahill.

I'm sorry but i really don't see Lucas as man of the match today. I agree he has improved, but he wasn't that great today and i thought Suarez, Downing and Adam had better games today at least

You'd really blame a team's relegation over the season on one player leaving? :o

LOL

LOL?

Brilliant.

No i wouldnt.....

"blame a team's relegation over the season on one player leaving?"

That was never the point i was trying to make, im simply questioning whether the value of positional finish up the league table could make up for the difference in value of selling a player in august or january.

Sorry, bit drunk and out there i guess.

LOL Blackburn.

Get two penalties (second one was a blatant dive) and then Everton win one in the last minute and win :D

Anyone notice the blackburn-everton scoreline changing as soon as the pen was given rather then when the goal was scored?

Blackburn are a poor team, sooner the Indians send them down the better, RIP Jack Walker built a great northern team from his own wealth but the policy got rid, lol chickens.
