Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [28th - 31st October 2016]

It's just not our day, is it? I've thought that a few times recently, we're not playing particularly poorly, we're just not quite there.

I wonder who we will buy in Jan?

We've not played bad we just have no options on the bench, there is no plan B. Our good players are either mysteriously injured or mysteriously left out completely so when Plan A doesn't work we bring on Fellaini and Rooney. How much better would we have been today if Depay had started and we had a fresh Rashford to bring on later?

Woeful result, should have been 3 points guaranteed by about 20 mins. It says a lot when you need a goal and you take off your creative player and bring on Rooney and Fellaini, more poor subs from Mourinho. He has a lot to answer for really.

Crap refereeing doesn't help, should never have been a red card.

The problem with starting Rashford on the wing is we can't switch things up. Ibra is going through a poor spell (in front of goal at least, his link up play is still great) so we have no other option if we choose to start Rashford on the wing. it would be far better to have someone else out there and then we can change things later in the game.

What I never understand about analysing football matches/teams is surely the managers can see what we can? There must surely be a reason behind the decisions they make that we're not aware of. They'll have access to way more stats than we do and obviously the coaches know more about the players than we do too.

So what gives?
